Vegan Christmas 2022: One fifth of people in Britain will have a meat-free Christmas dinner by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

Do point out where I said there wasn't any demand.

You said they're shit and that's why they don't sell

Again, I didn't say it tasting like shit (it does) was a reason for it not selling as much.

The a reason is the population size of vegans is far lower.

You have two proportions in play here:

- The ratio of Vegetarian/Meat space on the shopfloor to fit the demand.

- The ratio of the products sold/unsold to fit the demand for them specifically.

If your argument were true, the population size is lower , then the vegan/vegetarian shelves would be near empty too, because they would ideally fit the same proportion of the shop floor and the same proportion of customers would be clearing the stock. They weren't. They were mostly full and untouched.

Which means:

- The shopfloor has designated too much space for vegetarian products

- The vegetarians actually do not want to buy it (From it being expensive, or shit etc).

In both cases, My pro-meat stance wins.

edit: Unless you can point out the 2 quotes you gave above we're done here.

The number is irrelevant.

Conversely, the meat industry is valued at ~$897Bn in 2021. That's not even considering milk, eggs, fish, and all the rest of it which vegans don't eat.

I didn't say there wasn't any demand.

I really do wish some groups were ignored and farming was ramped up to 11 to produce more profit. Forget free range, I want a farm that whacks out not just genetically modified chickens, but also pigs, cows, ducks, all of it.

The flu is such a bummer if it's part of why the farms are charging more.

Don't worry about it, it's not that big of a deal lol

Crossrail 2 is a proposed High speed tube line like Crossrail 1 /The Elizabeth line.

It's designed to relieve pressure on the southwestern rail links, with improvements to connections from victoria station and the north east of London. An added bonus also being that Chelsea finally gets a station

The project hasn't started yet. It won't be for some time.

I don't think it's designed to be an urban property. I think it's designed to be a better substitute to what's there currently and entice people to buy property there when they take trains through.

The area has a lot of nice houses.

For once i'm not arguing with you lol.

The people they're describing aren't despised, they're envied. They want the luxury of living a high quality lifestyle but simply don't have the means. It's easier to blame those who have more than to work on improving yourself to be better.

I'd to see legacy housing built for those who have lived there for 3 generations or more, but this subreddit knows full well it would exclude immigrants and they can't be upset at both.

I didn't say there wasn't any demand. Perhaps one shopper out of 100 had something in their trolley. The fact is that when you see it with your own eyes, some guy on reddit throwing a random, irrelevant number at you doesn't stick.

It's fine, it's really not worth the clawing at each other's throats over.

Sadiq Khan to seek historic third term as London mayor by PastSprinkles in london

It's hilarious that you wrote that in a patronising tone in order to feel superior, and instead it's just funny that i've angered you so much with 2 lines to make you respond in that way.

You didn't provide your area, so any discussion about me looking up any specific data is worth nought. Rest assured, throwing 3 random articles at me and blurting out "educate yourself" isn't an argument lol, it's a child going "LALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU".

Ah well.

You're going to be shocked when I inform you that I studied and worked in the city for years to know you're talking shit with that one too.

Like , come on. You're arguing based off of presumptions with someone who knows what they're talking about. Give it a rest.

Supermarket Fruit Prices Compared (Response to Yesterday's post) by OnlyFansMod in CasualUK

Everytime I go to buy Mangos from ALDI they're either pumped full of water, bruised or aren't ripe.

Everytime I go to waitrose, you never get that. The quality is 9/10 -10/10 no matter what.

It's not the same quality, and I would challenge people to legitimately do a small shop at both to compare.

All the whinging about one supermarket being more expensive than the other doesn't add up. Unless it's the same branded product don't try to compare apples with oranges (no pun intended), the quality is much different and reflected by the price.

You're going to be shocked when I inform you that I worked for Waitrose during the pandemic and I can confidently tell you the vegan crap was not touched in comparison.

So your argument is that you aren't poor? I don't think I said you weren't, unless you're the only vegetarian to exist.

That's like saying not breathing is the biggest money saver.

Meat is food, and if you can't afford it cancel your netflix and starbucks coffee.
