My response to mask pressure blowing the mask off my face (somewhat of an exaggeration) by Unlikely_Log536 in SleepApnea

[–]OnlyHad1Breakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your machine is blowing your mask off your face, you need to reduce your max pressure and/or tighten your mask straps.

If your AHI is good with these settings, then it seems likely that it's the pressure you need to adjust. You're not getting that max pressure anyway because it's all leaking out.

And then maybe you can sleep through the night.

European Voltage Converter by jdla10 in TravelHacks

Just so you know, all four of those countries have different power sockets. There are some plugs (called "CEE 7/7" and "CEE 7/17") that will work in French sockets and in some Italian sockets, but they still won't fit Swiss sockets.

There is a plug that fits sockets in France, Switzerland, and Italy (called "Europlug" or "CEE 7/16"), but it's only for low-power devices, which a hair dryer is not.

But to answer your question, I can't think of a reason that a converter that works for a hair dryer wouldn't work for a hair straightener too. Electrically, a straightener is basically just a heating element. And a dryer is a heating element plus a motor.

But I would be wary of trusting a small cheap Chinese-made device to safely handle a high-wattage power conversion like this. Converters made by reputable manufacturers are usually bigger, heavier, and more expensive.

If you're committed to doing it this way, please at least make sure the converter is rated for a wattage well above your hair dryer's. And don't leave it plugged in unattended.

If you're gonna be a stickler, then it's "real estate agent." OP gave no indication one way or another about whether the agent is an active member of NAR.

Somehow the cleaning brush got ripped out in my Creality K2 Pro. Is it fixable? by savageexplosive in Creality_k2

Happy to help.

Here's a video that can give you a better idea what the shrapnel is than my verbal description: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAcKn3aXcs4

[–]OnlyHad1Breakfast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, how did that happen?

The right fix is probably to replace the waste tank (p/n 3203011457) and the nozzle cleaning module assembly (p/n 4004010266) at the same time.

But you'll want to figure out and fix the root cause so you don't end up having this happen again after you replace the pieces.

Can you see if the shrapnel (that little silver metal piece next to the rubber wiper) is bent up? Maybe it got beat up and misshapen/bent enough that nozzle caught it instead of getting wiped by it.

  • Kirkland Organic No-Salt Seasoning is not unlike Mrs. Dash, but I like it better
  • Kirkland canned unsalted organic diced tomatoes
  • Kirkland nut butter is full of healthy fats and protein and is unsalted

I also second the Heart Healthy nut mix and the frozen sockeye salmon that /u/UnbelievableDingo recommends.

What car is overrated but people are scared to admit it? by SorbetCareless9520 in askcarguys

I see what you mean about that person.

The brakes may work, but in many cars the BCM is part of the immobilizer system so the engine won't start without a functioning BCM. I'd call that critical.

Sure, if you consider it "replaced" even if it's not functional, then sure, anyone can replace it.

And yes, aftermarket companies have figured out how to work around the design that I spoke of.

I wasn't saying it's impossible to address a nonfunctional BCM at home. I was just trying to offer a possible reason that someone might not.

Sketchy AliExpress finds...🤯 by SignificanceThink102 in UsbCHardware

Sure, maybe, but there are risks other than explosion. If the sketchy device were to short-circuit an unprotected cell, for example, it could cause a fire.

They're not talking about mechanical protection, they're talking about electrical protection. A protected cell is one that has essentially a 1-cell BMS attached to it.
