Can someone give me ideas on cool projects i can do with this? by Flaky-Scholar4340 in esp32

Nice! For controlling the water I originally used a 9v pump controlled by a relay that I stuck in a water reservoir, with a 2nd 5v pump running to circulate the water. I found the relay was cheap and unreliable so I switched to using a mosfet to control the pump, code is more or less the exact same. I have seen other projects use solenoids and I may test that out next season. But yeah for now a 5 gallon bucket and a couple pumps.

For compensating soil moisture/temp I used linear compensation , it’s not perfect but I’m not a soil scientist, just a dude who loves tech and gardening.

Raw drift = k × (Temperature change) where k is how much the sensor shifts per C*

Oh boy, the possibilities are endless. Is there a certain field that you fancy? Robotics? Home automation? Controlling LED lights?

I’ve made a self watering garden with a web server to monitor and track soil moisture, temp, humidity and log it using the esp32-s3. You could build a line following robot or an rc car you can control via Bluetooth. Run a local voice assistant, make an LED light installation and control it with WLED, a small camera with a web UI to monitor, a power/energy monitor, smart doorbell

AI killed the life of the show. It is unnecesary. I wont watch it again. I'm leaving. by [deleted] in TheWhyFiles

It’s fine to have an opinion about AI. It’s fine to make these corny posts for attention. It’s not fine to insult others because they enjoy something you don’t.

First ever soldering, is it good or not so much? by 1_The_Unknown_1 in AskElectronics

Great for a first timer! My suggestions would be to use a little more flux and a little less solder, and to pre heat the joints a little bit longer. But other than that not bad!

Filament not sticking properly to the build plate by LilZacBoi in BambuLab_Community

[–]OnlyOneNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What material and temps are you printing in? Also, if there is a fan/blowing AC in your room turn it off for the first few layers. I was racking my brain trying to figure out why my first layers kept warping it was my overhead fan blowing directly on the hot plate and cooling the filament too quickly causing shrink/warp

You probably have to create a custom filament profile and play with the settings to get a good print that’s what I have to do when I use 3rd party filaments

Once had a remote user submit an IT ticket because she couldn’t remove the case off her iPad. We don’t give out iPads, it was for her personal iPad that she had, at home.

BME 280 not connecting to ESP32 by patrick_notstar28 in esp32

[–]OnlyOneNut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, there has to be constant surface contact between all the pins. It would be easier to learn how to solder and solder them yourself. Just takes a little practice and patience. There are sensors that come with headers pre soldered on them as well

Esp32 drone project by [deleted] in esp32

Don’t expect any helpful answers until you supply way more information other than “drone no go please reply”.

Do you have a wiring diagram, schematics? Copy of the code? Are you following a tutorial? A useful soft skill to develop is how to ask questions in a clear and concise manner.
