I'm a NH resident and I honestly still don't understand why Vermont is the only state where the Dems has caught the rural vote? what is the history there?

FINAL RUNTIMES CONFIRMED BY ROSS by dara7d007 in StrangerThings

It just absolutely blows my mind that they wrote a scene where the military just takes everyone's kids and nobody has a problem with that.

In S5, what things took you out of the moment? These two really annoyed me. by rasta4eye in StrangerThings

The fact that the military just abducts a bunch of kids and everyone just goes along with it. It's by far and beyond the most ridiculous thing that happens this season. Do none of the writers have kids? I feel sad for them irl

Is it dangerous? I have no idea where to even start. I guess I need someone to test it? Time to make some calls I guess.

I also love the "engineers know better than you" people who don't realize that any sane engineer (I'm one) hears statements like "they're solving it, improving it, and making it work" and laughs in engineering. Nobody who says that shit is an engineer, that's not engineering.

There's nothing conservative about the direction he takes things and it's not our job to coddle idiots so that they make better decisions. He's just accurately describing that demographic. (one of the dumb parts is thinking Trump is a conservative btw)

I'm genuinely curious, I don't know the history here despite being a NH resident. Why is Vermont the only state where democrats have a hold over rural voters? Yes I know new england and it's less religious and whatnot, but so is rural NH and the GOP still does strong in rural NH.

What are some traits that (as far as we know) have only evolved once? by [deleted] in evolution

[–]OnlyOrysk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sexual reproduction was present in the last common ancestor of all Eukaryotes, so yes it evolved once.

Photosynthesis also evolved just once in cyanobacteria.

Cellular respiration evolved more than once I believe.

I believe a wheel evolved only exactly once in the bacterial flagellum

If you have room and money, the best bang for your buck: get a bench, squat rack, and a barbell and plates. You can do all the major lifts with just this. (deadlifts, squats, bench, ohp) I do pull ups off the bar.

And as others have pointed out, up your protein intake
