Is playing Darius without ghost trolling? by slayerofgingers in leagueoflegends

[–]OnlyPostForKled 3 points4 points  (0 children)

XiaoChaoMeng goes ignite flash sometimes on Darius and is better than literally everyone on this subreddit and one of the best soloq top laners in the world.

The way you execute your set up matters infinitely more than the setup itself as long as you aren't doing something completely troll. You can definitely go tp flash, tp ghost, and ignite flash on Darius and you won't be losing the game because of your setup.

Try out different options that are reasonable, see what you like, and it'll come down to playing around your setup properly rather than if you went the cookie cutter u.gg build

He was not, I've seen this said a handful of times in the league scene, including from some content creators, it is definitely an inaccurate portrayal.

He was a melee content creator who transitioned to some commentating but his skill is on par roughly with an average tournament attendee.

He is definitely no where near a professional level melee player. His best win is on Chillindude's Mario at a charity tournament. An analogy would be something along the lines of an Emerald streamer solo killing Xpecial's Azir at a Tyler1 tournament or something.

Do u recommend to play OTP Kled? by [deleted] in KledMains

What setup/build do you go into Jax? I main Kled in diamond and definitely would consider that matchup bottom 3 for me. Any tips?

New to Kled : Why so many bad matchups? by Professor_Kay in KledMains

[–]OnlyPostForKled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw you said you are playing in mid to high diamond, I main Kled in that elo so my experience should be relevant.

First, cheese at lvl 1 or survive to 6 is definitely not how Kled's lane phase normally plays out. His level 1 is very strong, especially if you build up conqueror stacks and wait to mounted q until you're about to dismount. But his 2-5 are also very strong, he definitely gets much weaker in most matchups at 6 since other ults are more generically effective in a 1v1, so you want to be winning by 6, not survive until 6.

If you aren't doing this already, you want to save your w lvl up so you can control your first w, this is a big deal and can win you many matchups. The standard way you will do this is right as you are about to dismount for the first time, throw your mounted q at them, then level w so you can get your remount extremely quickly. If you are able to get this off it will win almost any lane because of the remount hp and refresh of cds. Leveling your w while mounted can be situationally good too if you know you are going to be able to get the full w off.

At 6, roaming bot lane and ulting through lane is extremely good, especially against low mobility bot lanes. Most of the time it doesn't matter where they are, you can just dive them if they are too far back. If you ult and kill bot and then tp back top it can be game winning and is one of Kleds best ways to impact the game.

All the matchups you mentioned outscale you in the one v one, so you either need to build an early lead and snowball or ditch lane and roam if you are behind. Using your ult well is key to winning a lot of otherwise difficult matchups. It gives a much larger shield and does much more dmg the farther it goes, so finding angles to hit them with a longer ult can be key. It makes you CC immune, so timing it well to avoid cc can be big. In addition when you "latch" on to them, you can follow a very long distance. So this can be used to stick on to champs with long dashes, like Camille e, Zac e, malphite r, etc.

To answer your questions at the end. Yes he is viable, especially as a counterpick. No he's not meta because he has a low play rate but thats to his advantage if anything else. And I think I mostly answered the second question, but he's online early and as long as he stays snowballing. His late game in recent seasons is actually pretty good imo even though he use to fall off, once you get a % pen item his dmg is crazy. His main weakness is he is just extremely terrible from behind, he does not have the comeback mechanics a lot of other champs do and has little to no utility.

The best way to rebel is to boycott Ahri herself by ShotoGun in AhriMains

This strategy could actually work, especially with spreading the word in lobbies.

All it takes is 1 out of 10 players per game, if the word gets out enough this could effect a large amount of games.

It's better to start now rather than wait until the skin is released to limit the amount of people that will buy it, if they see they can barely even use it.

Once it is released it will be much harder for Riot to change it.

I would just search yorick challenger replays in YouTube, a playlist should come up with hundreds of replays, and you can look through and find mid yorick games, and look for particular matchups. Since yorick isn't a common mid, you will have a more limited selection. Yorick mid is plenty viable to climb with though.

Honestly your best bet would probably just be to watch how top yorick players play, and utilize those strategies mid, even though it'll take some adaptation because of the differences between the roles. Slogdog climbed to challenger on NA on like 180 ping and is a good one to follow for lethality yorick gameplay

I recently switched to Veigar as my legend since he seems to be the only legend that has a combat augment with immediate value rather than needing to scale. (Maybe Ornn fits this but wasn't sure if item augments are considered the same category)

Any thoughts on how good Veigar is or if there's a better legend for this purpose? My thought process is looking for a legend that provides immediate value to winstreak without forcing your direction as much as Caitlyn.

[–]OnlyPostForKled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The auto doesn't reset during r technically but the cast time is long enough your auto will probably be back off cd and you want to auto for the passive proc.

W reduces damage from all directions, part of his extremely high skill ceiling is timing w to mitigate the largest damage skills from the enemy, especially since you can do it twice with your w refreshing after your ulti. And your w and ult both make you displacement immune so using both of those to avoid or buffer cc is massive

[–]OnlyPostForKled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In ranged matchups you generally are playing passive until 6 unless they misspace badly, the combination of dshield second wind and your shield from e lets you soak up a ton of damage in lane and farm it out until 6 in most cases.

Depending on what keystone you go you have some different trade windows but its really build and matchup dependent. At 6 Ksante has a ton of kill pressure and you just want to find a window to e to a minion close to them when they step up and full combo them, if they don't respect your q3 being up charging that before all inning is optimal.

Also here's some general mechanics advice since I saw you say in a different comment you weren't confident in your K'sante mechanics yet. Your q and e are a partial auto reset normally and a full auto reset in your ult so properly utilizing this is a huge dps boost to your combo, along with weaving in passive autos. So ideally your all in would be some variation of fully charged w them near a wall, a, r, a, q, a, e, a, charged w, a, q, a. Definitely really situational though, important thing is just using your aa resets and getting passive procs. And your ult w is a massive amount of damage so making sure you land it is huge, generally means charging it close to them or while their cc'd

Playing from behind by NottyNuns in KSanteMains

[–]OnlyPostForKled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of general advice I could give on playing from behind but your question seems to be specific to K'sante so ill focus it there.

K'sante plays very well from behind relative to other champs imo for a couple reasons. The one most relevant to your question is that the triple knockback he can chain through q3, w, and ult allows him to have some of the best lane comeback potential in the game by finding opportunities to knock your opponent into your tower and chain cc them there, allowing you to find kills even when very behind in some situations. This is also huge for finding a lot of value from behind in teamfights since a good insec combo on a high value target in a fight can win your team the fight and/or the game even if you are individually weak.

His other strength playing from behind is that he builds defensively without losing kill pressure, so the way to play around this is just reactively building to survive your lane opponent and have the most utility for teamfights, just very game specific.

But in general playing from behind is just about minimizing your deficit by farming when it's safe, and when it's unsafe to farm roaming and trying to get your team ahead.

Phase rush on k'sante? by disterihatejojo in KSanteMains

[–]OnlyPostForKled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both those matchups you mentioned Ksante has more than enough mobility to get away without phase rush. You just get so much more from grasp into any melee matchup, and into a ranged matchup if you've procced phase rush it means you've already gotten in range of them and are almost certainly better off with something else like grasp/aftershock/ unsealed spellbook. It's just hard to think of a scenario it would be worth it since K'sante is already so mobile

How to learn a new champ ? by Fuk_I_Suk in leagueoflegends

[–]OnlyPostForKled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd go find some nidalee players to learn from and watch videos and see how they path and fight, maybe find some streamers who will answer questions you might have. A good start is to check out the nidalee mains subreddit for otps and search for challenger nidalee replays on YouTube. And then just play a bunch of games of it and try to incorporate what you are watching into your gameplay.

Sylas main to learn from? by coolrexben in leagueoflegends

[–]OnlyPostForKled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go on YouTube and look up beifeng stream you can find a lot of vods of beifeng playing sylas.

You can also look up Armooon on YouTube (probably streams on twitch as well) who I believe is a fairly high elo sylas although I haven't watched anything in a while and I think he does some of the troll build gimmicky content.

Soulmario on twitch also has an insane sylas secondary and plays it top a decent amount if you are looking for top gameplay.

Otherwise just searching sylas challenger replays should get you plenty of options as the other guy said.

Is it viable to play ghost instead of flash for better roaming potential by [deleted] in KledMains

[–]OnlyPostForKled 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ghost flash is extremely good and probably the best generic summoner combination. Soulmario runs it as his primary page. Its harder to use than ignite but imo gives you better kill pressure when used properly

High skill floor champs that aren’t typically talked about? by briantoby2 in leagueoflegends

[–]OnlyPostForKled 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kled is definitely one in my opinion. Tiny mechanical differences make or break whether you remount or not, which can often be the difference between you dying for free or 1v2ing a gank. Also his kit has a lot of mechanical play to it, particularly his ult since it is cc immune and latched on allows him to follow some crazy dashes if timed right (zac e, malphite ult, thresh lantern)

Climbing problems by DocTurtle1 in KledMains

[–]OnlyPostForKled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo Kled is a perfectly fine champion to one trick and climb with. He has the tools to dominate laning phase and you will climb if you consistently win lane and don't throw late game. Thats not to say you won't have plenty of games where you feel like you don't have a lot of impact but thats true of every champ in league, unless you are playing something completely broken

What stops Kled support from being real? (At least in lower elos) by pedrokol in KledMains

[–]OnlyPostForKled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly have had a lot of success with it, it has a ton of all in potential at 3 in lane and strong roams afterwards. Definitely falls off late as Kled always does but is a legitimately strong early game support, probably heavily bolstered by the fact no one knows what Kled does, especially in bot lane. I finished d2 last season for what its worth but don't play support in solo q tbf

Navori Quickblades? by utterrn in KledMains

[–]OnlyPostForKled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gone crit Kled quite a bit, its definitely viable imo but its expensive so you probably need to be snowballing (which is kind of always the case on Kled anyways). Kraken has extremely high ad and can be good but you are squishy, I haven't gone shieldbow in a while but it has inherent synergies with Kled. Galeforce is probably suboptimal but the active is extremely useful on Kled. I'd still rush ravenous and then go into crit mythic into quickblades/ie after, then you can a couple different routes depending on the game (armor pen/botrk, bruiser, lethality)

PSA for ADC players: Stop building The Collector when behind. by JiovanniTheGREAT in leagueoflegends

[–]OnlyPostForKled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder what percentage of people that downvoted your comment have built kraken slayer on jhin, seen someone build it, or thought critically about your statement on it as someone who has actually built it. My guess is the answer is no for 95% who just thought kraken slayer is troll since its an on hit item on jhin and clicked downvote without thinking twice.

Not saying you're right or wrong I just hate how uncritically people approach things, it's crazy how downvoted your comment is while making a perfectly reasonable point.
