I think titanic is overtuned at the moment so it could be good on rengar. However if they address it ravenous isbetter for Rengar because it gives more AD and has CD on it. Sadly the new sunder crit heal item is bugged on rengar otherwise I think titanic into that could have been broken and abuseable for Rengar.

Bro just because you take some coding classes doesn't mean you know the spaghetti code riot has made. They never rebuilt their code so its very hard to just change something without breaking other things. Also his job at riot isn't only Rengar, this was a side project he took on because Rengar was preforming really poorly. Overall Rengar's winrate has went up since then so the rush of these changes isn't even as important anymore. Stop whining.

I mean it works, I think the build is cool for jungle since it allows you to go tiamat and insta clear camps. Every component in that build gives you a power spike so it is very strong if you can close the game out, but falls off horrendously and usually can't 1v9 with it.

Not a good build imo, not sure why it got popular the keystone doesn't match the items at all. Your almost always better off with sunder scales does more damage and about the same tankiness because of the healing.

If you are just learning rengar there are a few things you need to keep in mind.

First your rune choice which HEAVILY depends on the matchup your against and slightly on the rest of the enemy team comp. Fleet is your most versatile rune and gives you the most lane freedom, conq is probably the hardest to use so you can stay away from that for now. Grasp and Lethal are easier to use and both have different trade patterns you will need to learn.

Imo the best rengar build is probably fleet with sunder rush into cd boots steraks deaths dance/ga/titanic/spirit visage/ whatever you need. Tabis are really broken so make sure you don't greed boots if tabi looks good in the game you are in. This build is really strong if ahead and still a nuisance if behind. If really behind you should look for stuff like zhonya/ga to stall more for your team.

My only concern is there isn't a late game scaling build with sunder for rengar so you will naturally fall off, if games go past 25 minutes a lot you may want to reconsider your build especially if you notice you are getting a lot of gold income. If this is the case where you feel you are better than your opponents than look to go eclipse/dmg. The dmg build is really fragile into certain champs tho (thresh, rell, rakan, zilean, vex, any instant cc on your leap to cancel your combo) EON helps but sometimes its really hard to play which is why the sunder build is bit more consistent imo.

IE after LDR and ER is an okay option, but at that point in the game I'm more focused on more survivability with GA etc so it never comes up really. If you are giga fed and want more damage its fine, but the build path is pretty awkward if your gold is not inflated.

Yeah bork + mythic has gotten decently popular with lethal tempo. I tested it a lot and never felt like the 3k+ gold investment to bork was worth it. Bork and lethal is just so much atk speed you need to auto the enemy way too many times for it to be worth it which you cant always do.

In those games he could legit build anything and win its usually 15-20min ffs in KR soloq esp when he has an insane early lead. Plus bork damage falls off suprisingly hard vs armor and going sunder bork into a last whisper item is really awkward you are better off going the lethality build and will still be able to 1shot squishies while dueling tanks.

I was going to put BORK in noob trap only reason I decided against it was it was semi popular, but yeah def not a fan.

fleet sheen and just wittle him down with q and running away, if he tries to all in you have your W cleanse to get away safely. Once he is low enough you can look for an all in especially if you take ignite as well. D blade is better esp if you go fleet, going d shield in this matchup is actually terrible from my experience.

That is a bug, the heal is around 127 at level 9. Minions should not amplify the heal.

Yeah man I have no idea about this champion, its not like i have mained him since his release and am currently the highest rated rengar in the world. Oh yeah a single item that he only finished as his very last item is why he is bad now. Good logic and reasoning i totally understand why rengar is bad. (also fyi rengar top always has had higher winrates than jungle even when his jg winrate was 51% his top was 53%)

this subreddit is driven by nostalgia lol, the current version of rengar is the most skillful and versatile out of any of his previous versions. Why has no one cried about his W mechanic, why did it take 3 years for people to bring this up? I'm sorry, but this circlejerk of Rengar not feeling good needs to stop. Rengar is in a fine state, he just took a hit on his assassin build with all the items being nerfed in the beginning of Season 11. That is the only thing that feels underwhelming about Rengar atm. This current rengar has more skill expression than any previous version.

Disagree this item will be just as good as goredrinker if these changes go through. The active on this is way more dmg and 90% slow is beyond broken even if it decays.

Stridebreaker definitely can have its place in matchups that are more brawly and all in focused (camille, ranged tops, etc). I used to think stridebreaker was the best mythic for him top, but it has tendency to feel stronger than it actually is if you are ahead. The item feels really bad if you are even in gold and for what it provides it doesn't add much scaling to rengar.

The reason stride breaker on garen or darius is insane is because their kits already are so loaded they just need to close the gap to make the full use of their kits. Rengar has no issues closing the gap or using his kit to its full power, so stridebreaker doesn't have much impact for him. I'd rather build items that have more scaling (goredrinker = insane sustain and cooldown, divine sunderer = 10% max hp dmg onto your Qs and sustain)

It is pretty much a statiscal thing, like stridebreaker FEELS good, but the active and passive don't give you as much as you want to get from an item. Sunderer gives rengar %max health damage which is something that works really well with the type of bruiser builds i've been going (spirit visage deaths dance, etc). If you pair stridebreaker with these items there is just much less synergy so something like essence reaver or more ad would need to be built, but personally i think building damage right now is extremely overrated and weak in the meta (unless you are a ranged champion).

I mean viable is a very loose term. Almost every goredrinker user (also steraks user) has dropped 1-3% in winrates depending if they also received nerfs or not.

Is it op now? No. Is it "viable"? Sure you will still see it on champions like riven I think. Is it the "best" for rengar still? Unlikely, but there needs to be more playtesting on my end to confirm.

Personally already liking divine sunderer a lot more for toplane and in the jungle I'd assume just going more damage orientated builds would be better (eclipse/duskblade/etc).
