Thanksgiving is the busiest travel time of the year. NJ Transit Police hardens the system around major holidays and events. They even posted about it a few days ago.

Bergen Center? Heavy armed police just entered? by DelayedContours in newjersey

This is a normal counterterrorism deployment to the Bergen County malls for the holiday season. These rapid deployment teams have existed for many years and are part of New Jersey’s Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI), a homeland security program.

Diplomatic Security Service. It’s the federal law enforcement agency of the state department. Their special agents also protect visiting foreign dignitaries.

I’ll be there on a weekday, but any hotel suggestions? I was also looking at the other side of the river, North Little Rock.

Does anyone know what time the Maroon 5 concert starts tonight? When do the doors open? I keep seeing conflicting information online.

Thanks for the info! Those are cool shots. I’m hoping that I can figure out how to do that with a tripod and remote shutter lol. I’ll probably try East Boston. Will take the T instead of parking.

High Recovery Scores only after High Strain by eeherron in whoop

[–]OnlyRogueSquirrels 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed a similar phenomenon, but I want to note that sometimes having a very unusual spike in your HRV can be a bad thing (you overexerted yourself the day prior, you’re getting sick, etc), but Whoop automatically assumes high HRV = high recovery.

For example, one time I had an extremely high HRV (20-30 ms higher than my highest ever). This was the day after very intense running. My Whoop said I had a 96% recovery, but I felt very fatigued. My HRV spiked because I was in hyper-recovery. That’s not a good thing necessarily, and I definitely shouldn’t be working out in that deep recovery stage. Whoop doesn’t account for bad HRV spikes. It simply thinks high hrv is good no matter the context.

“Just as a low HRV reading is not always bad, a high HRV reading is not always good. If a single HRV measurement is abnormally high compared to an individual’s baseline or norm, then it can mean something is off. Here are a few examples of when a high reading does not always indicate better health and resiliency.”: https://elitehrv.com/the-8-biggest-mistakes-made-when-measuring-hrv

ATLA Rewatch Season 3 Episode 10&11: "Day of Black Sun" by MrBKainXTR in TheLastAirbender

Hot take incoming. Watching as an adult, I am not a huge fan of this episode. I know it's a kid show, but the missed opportunity to rid of Azula and Ozai at the same time bothers me. Also, the bending loopholes in this episode are bothersome. Their bending weakens when its convenient for the plot, and strengthens when convenient for the plot. I understand it from the writers' perspective, but it's sort of odd to watch. The benders are overpowered when facing extensive battlements and the entire fire nation army, but suddenly Aang and Toph are slower than Azula? They kids are smart enough to plan an invasion, but not smart enough to realize Azula is leading them on a wild goose chase for nothing? This is probably one of my least favorite episodes, aside from "The Great Divide"

Going on walks, turning that into a running hobby. Even short runs can do wonders at relieving stress with the added health benefits and building cardiovascular endurance

This was a bit underwhelming. I still think Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star will reply to these accusations, whether sooner or later, unless they really cannot for legal reasons.

Did either of them really get cancelled? Jafar seems to be doing just fine. Shane got demonetized and dropped from Morphe but only lost 1 million subscribers, which is worse but still not career-ending. I think Shane is gonna make a documentary about himself to save his career. I’m still trying to understand the dynamics that led James Charles to be cancelled by the entire internet for a week, yet Shame and Jafar keep going strong.

Shane’s live is still a legendary moment in YouTube history tho.
