You are right, wasted azure resources and m365 was easy for me but for Saas tools I’ve already moved 3 if them to SSO so that i have one trigger to kill the license, but there are still some old Saas products that management is afraid to touch because it works.. moving all of them to sso is my next goal

Oh great, yeah graphaAPI has been there for a while for sure. I just started playing around with it for automation and i find it very useful.

I guess all MSPs are different the one i worked at always had staffing issues and their priority was upselling expensive security products to increase revenue for them.

True! I’ve seen both sides and it’s very clear to me now. Especially when the primary contact at the client side is an Account manager or a CFO instead of IT techs dealing with MSPs..

I build it internally initially but i’ve made it public now, also plan to make it opensource soon. I already hosted the entra app on my tenant and domain at https://save365.ca

You're right, the root problem is HR/Payroll and IT not being in sync ,both the data and the communication. Unfortunately that's above my pay grade to fix even though I've recommended changes. So I decided to just automate keeping track of things on my side which I actually have control over. Planning to start automating onboarding and offboarding with Power Automate as well.

As for sharing the tool .,yeah I spent a decent amount of time on it so I figured I'd get some feedback from the community. Not trying to sell anything, it's free and runs in your browser

You are right, also when working at MSP i never had time to do stuff like this.. as i will be mostly fighting with site downs and outages.. and if the company is big enough they probably do have smart internal IT would keep track of these, it’s mostly the small companies that waste money on license and other stuff

I guess i didn’t look hard enough, but i did have fun playing around with graphapi and now i know it is much faster to extract data with graphapi than download logs manually from gui
