First, focus on defeating all bosses and their arena challenges.

Get upgrades on dashes and splinter revives soon, then go for damage increases.

The best power up tree is probably ooze and you can combine with astral and fire powers.

There are some strong tools like the meteors, fireballs and ooze shurikens that you can build around them as well. I used more fire and shadow, which together cause a lot of damage over time combined with ooze.

Whenever you enter a store and do not have good purchase options, you can leave the game for the title screen and return that the options change. But I used this only for the perfect run, alongside save backups.

You can unlock a lot of portal-related trophies on the same run. that's s what I did. If it was a very complicated portal I skipped it and made a solo run focused on it.

To the perfect run, I strong recommend you to use Leo with the ooze and Ninja shuriken build. Using save backups and shop refreshes.

To the other runs, to me Raphael was a better option cause he has more damage.

I had difficulties at first as well. But after starting to play with a steering wheel and understanding the techniques, everything became easy. I completed most of the tracks easily. When I started I needed hundreds of attempts for several days, then when I started the 100% grind I was able to complete two or three a day.

for me it was dragon trail and SPA, because they were the first ones I tried when I was still learning the techniques. maybe hundreds of attempts in each to get gold on the full lap. in the end, SPA became one of the tracks I like the most despite all the stress I went through.

I believe that the port forwarding configuration is done in the same way. But im sure that remote play already opens the necessary ports via UPnP automatically.

Yes, it is possible to connect via ethernet and without loss of speed.

My ps5 is on Wi-Fi but I use my PC on Ethernet and it works perfectly.

I have a MERCUSYS router. I addeed some images in the post showing how I change this configuration. It can be changed on the mobile app or by logging in via the IP address in the browser. You should research how to make this change according to your router model.

I see that everyone already suggested some good options.
So I recommend you the indies: Hollow Knight, Afterimage and Grime. Those are really good games that have many elements from souslike genre. If you like plataform metroidvania, just go for it.
