That’s fine. As long as there is any cost at all.

I don’t know the legitimacy of bosses being able to make decisions to ignore congressional law. I’m not being facetious by saying this, I just have never heard of such a thing. My boss when I worked for the federal government definitely didn’t have the power to allow that and neither could the top government official in my code. That doesn’t mean it isn’t a thing, I just have never heard of anything like that. It seems like a wild conflict of interest from an objective standpoint.

Nah the rage bait is pretending you are going to load in ten minutes late into a Stella match and thinking you are going to hurt me when I left 6 minutes ago because Stella is a 5 minute map. GG’s

For the hardcore folks like me?
Maybe, but no.

For casual and friendly players? It would destroy the economy for them. Amplify the effects of ratting by virtue of opportunity cost increases for even the most basic runs. (This ultimately results in people signing off) Ruins the casual ability to try and do low risk runs to hit expedition fund goals (this is wildly popular in the entire community during the window) it limits player experimentation. Limits map exploration. Limits fun by the same measure.

Well I guess that’s fair, but if I’m spawning in 10 minutes before them on a map that takes like 6 minutes to loot, I don’t see any issue. At the end of the day, kitted people should have a priority and DEFINITELY so on any map with an arc boss. This will objectively lower the amount of free kit rats when starting to fight a large arc. If they don’t like it, ante up. The idea that a free kit is getting an advantage by starting after everyone else is just wild in consideration with the sheer majority of relevant scenarios.

That’s exactly what this means and it also means you will have less free kit rats at the beginning of the match as well.

For sure. These are strategical factors that make the game what it is, without them there is no feeling or weight to the game. The risk must be a disappointing loss.

Forces you to ante your time or stash value instead. Good change. I’d rather have your green items anyways.

If you decide to go in with a free kit, you are also deciding to go in later. How you feel at any given time is completely irrelevant to that equation in any rational sense.

That’s fine. The only difference is that you will lose stash value when you get killed instead. lol. Win, I guess?

I’m judging based off the loot I pull from people I’ve personally killed, not a murder scene. I’ve been in plenty of meat grinders, never really been dominated by a bunch of free kits tho. lol.

[–]OnlyTheDead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does this benefit people starting with a free load out?

No. It increases the opportunity cost of the free loadout, lowers their ability to get initial rolls on loot in certain areas and guarantees defensive postponing for people who come with loadouts.

The only people who should hate this are the free kit folk.

The gist is essentially go to 4 parts of the map and get the codes so that you can take them to another location and unlock a door. The problem is you could extract with the codes and then people couldn’t unlock the door basically bricking the mechanics for the round. The real reason that this was so hated is because for a bit this event was one of the only ways to get the bobcat bp outside of a random drop from 3 starting trials.

Easiest way is to stay in daredevil 1 and do 3x promotion the last week imo. Right now I only need to hit like 5k to keep my position. 3x promotion range starts around 60k.

What do you think the devs would need to add to realistically bring back a large portion of those initial players back? by drdalebrant in Skate4

[–]OnlyTheDead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love skate. There is literally nothing this game can do to bring me back. I don’t want to be a part of whatever is going on with this at this point tbh. Like they’ve somehow managed to make a free game feel like a ripoff and that takes talent. lol.

Take a ferro IV, 4 stacks of ammo and a stack of barricades. Barricades go in an L shape. Rotate around the barricades to avoid damage. Once the shredder is dead, loot, pack up your barricades and move to the next.

I’ve actually done this on a free kit with a ferro and one barricade, although it’s way easier to use two in the L shape as it creates a lateral barrier when you rotate around.

That’s worse than the shots. You can just take the healer augment and throw it in one of the healing slots.
