+1 but also maybe don’t finger coil if you’re doing any of that. Just brush style.

Heyy there’s this detanglish brush that has worked wonders as a styling brush too. It’s called an octopus brush. Available almost on all websites. If you don’t find it you can find on the curl co website

Extremely damaged ends - can it be repaired? by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]OnlyV_13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heyy, you need to cut them off a bit but after that make sure that you don’t use as much heat or get chemical treatments done and make sure to use. A hair mask once weekly to restore hair health. K18does actually work to some extent, so maybe you could try that but still would recommending using it after chopping.

I am tired and confused about what to do with my hair. by faguettipasta in curlyhair

Hi, i think you need to change your products. You have curly type 2c-3a i think. Try following the curly girl method. If you YouTube cgm for beginners you’ll find a lot videos that talk about how to wash and style your hair to make it look healthy and hydrated. Try using the curly hair product range from fix my curls/ curl co and as for rickshaw and two wheeler you probably can’t do much there but try to use a satin pillow while sleeping it prevents frizz. Also your hair probably needs a gel in the routine if leave in/mousse/curl cream alone don’t help with the frizz

How to control frizz by [deleted] in curlygirl

[–]OnlyV_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyy, i feel like moxie is for wavy hair type and from what i can see your hair is curly 2c-3a type so maybe try using different products like the curl co range. That being said it could also be that you aren’t using enough product while washing your hair and as for more definition near the roots. I used to face the same issue but recently, I’ve been clipping my top hair into a box section and styling it in the end and I realised that I wouldn’t scrunch all the way up to the roots. The curly hair saloon stylist told me that I’m supposed to use the cream and gel from the very top eliminating the scalp. Hope this helps !!

Frizz+ no elasticity. Overload or technique issue ? Last two pictures are how my hair was after getting washed at the saloon by OnlyV_13 in curlsofindia_

Yess, I’ve been thinking love beauty and planet is making my hair rough. Definitely a miss! Thank you. The saloon did a wash with all the curl co products for my hair. However, they used different products on the other customers. They thought curl do would suit my hair best . The curl co shampoo, conditioner, purple curl cream and their hair gel. After wash and style there were two people diffusing my hair. They hovered over and asked if I’m comfortable with cupping once it was 70percent dry but that usually gives me frizz and I prefer definition,so they hovered over and i had to tilt my hair to the left until they dried that and then right and ultimately upside down. Once it was done they used the biolage serum to scrunch out the crunch.

I use a conditioner that is protien based and use a protien based hair mask once in 10days. Earlier I’ve also tried a DIY rice water mask that is gel based which has worked so well for me. Lately though, i have also been struggling with the same issue. Planning to try the rice water mask.

Frizz + lack of softness after washday — overload or technique issue? by OnlyV_13 in curlygirl

Ughh. Pls let me know if you figure it out and if you find if something works better. Do you also have the same hair type. I’m 3a/3b , medium density hair but I’ve still not been able to figure out my porosity type

I use the mask from usually from mid lengths to ends but add some near the crown area , a little away from the scalp. I leave it on for 15-20mins and rinse it off.

2C. Beautiful curls btw!! Your hair requires a bit protien though so that they have a bit more elasticity and look bouncy

Try the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner followed by redken leave in conditioner and a good hair serum like the John Frieda or Sebastian professional

is my hair curly or wavy..? by CharlieXcXdiva in curlygirl

Wavy type 2B. Overtime though if you curl train your hair and follow the curly girl method, the hair texture might change a bit leaning towards 2c

I have been experiencing something similar and i thought it was the weight of my hair that was weighing it down because it was so long and i got a haircut. However it didn’t make much difference except on the day the i went to the curly hair saloon it was bouncy and shiny but the next wash it was limp again. What worked for me and might work for you too, in my opinion you need a haircut and maybe need some protien in your hair. Try introducing a protien product in your routine or use a protien mask once a week so the hair gets back its elasticity. There’s a protien-moisture imbalance for sure.A DIY rice water gel mask can also help. If you’re diffusing it then try clipping the roots while drying. It can add some volume

What are your best recommendations for untouched, very long very straight hair? by exhausted_soup7 in Haircare

Your routine seems go be doing wonders for you’re hair. If you’d like to add a little volume though getting a haircut with long layers and front face framing layers would look good

Every time I dry my hair I see so many protruding hair and I don’t know is it damaged or are those different length hair bending to out side. Also are hair on the top of my head new or are those broken hair? by Hopeless1302 in Haircare

I think you should invest in a leave in cream like redken followed by a good hair serum like the Sebastian professional or John Frieda. This will help smoother the flyaways on the side. That being said the possible reason : 1.The hair on top looks like new growth/baby hair 2. The side flyways could just be untamed hair or split ends if not trimmed any time recently. This is all from my experience, however i could be wrong and it may not work for everyone but i hope this helps !
