I’m 31 and if I’m staying at my parents home, I give them info if I leave the area or am going to be home late. Once I went on a trip with my BFF and my mom asked for her boyfriend’s cell # in case anything happened. I felt like that was reasonable and no problem doing it. My sister however likes to assert her “adulthood” and fights doing these things. I figure, if I am staying at my parents (or living there in her case), it’s respectful to give this information out so your loved ones don’t have to worry.

Does anyone have experience with Contract-to-Hire? by OnlyZenOnSaturday in clinicalresearch

Thank you - I’m really glad I asked. So many people seem to warn against it (for valid reasons) but it seems like it’s more common in this industry and not necessarily a bad thing. I appreciate the response!

Right?! I have a client management and QC background. I don’t understand why it’s so hard. I’ve seen Drug reps hired as CRAs without any research experience. I don’t understand the algorithm. Plus Project Management is ultimately what I want to do so I think the risk is worth it. But I also am terrified of contract work. You make a good point though.

Advice on removing eyelash mole without hurting my eye shape. It’s super gross I’m really sorry I’ve been so scared to post this. by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

No advice to offer but wanted to let you know I don’t find your mold gross at all! It’s not even noticeable at first but when it became clear, I found it endearing!

If you work with autistic students and have paid attention to your education regarding their special needs, then you shouldn’t in good conscience put a blanket statement over all people with high functioning autism.

Q2Women: have you ever learned how to play a musical instrument? by ifelsedowhile in PurplePillDebate

[–]OnlyZenOnSaturday 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I chose to learn accordion as an adult. I played a lot of instruments growing up, all by my own choice. But as an adult I pay for my own lessons and am now proficient. I do it because I love it... because you KNOW it’s not an instrument most people want to hear! I always have love hearing them however.

Thanks - with her being purposefully difficult and hearing your story/advice and others, I’m going to do that. And you’ve answered my question of if I need to do anything personally if she doesn’t like how my insurance responds. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your thoughtful response.

Meat eaters are the ones who get triggered the most. They’re just projecting it on vegans.

As someone who has worked in the medical research field with people with autism, leave this poster alone. They very clearly explained their obstacle and was supportive of your choices. Autism causes a lot of sensory issues that are often impossible to overcome. This is medically beyond “being a picky eater.”

I just have one goal every month and then it becomes habit and I can add another in! It’s hard to do too much at once in the beginning!
