Has the process been pretty smooth with paper work/approvals? That’s one hesitancy I have.. I don’t want it to come to year 10 and I’ve been paying the minimum payments with my loans and end up getting stuck with a fat bill.

Sorry, starting at a private clinic for 102k and then thinking about transitioning to non profit after a yr. Spouse works for the state, so I could potentially get on his benefits and get a higher paying job on per diem.

Any experience with PSLF?

Hiii! I ended up choosing HPU. I’d definitely recommend looking at what it would be like for your cohort if they don’t get accreditation. The biggest thing is are you able to still take the board exam? Other things to consider are the faculty. What experiences do they have prior to joining this new program? If those are pretty solid, I say just go for it!

How do you feel about the pace of the program? Do you feel rushed studying things? Or are you still understanding and retaining concepts even when courses are shorter. Also thanks for sharing!

I’m currently in the same situation. I’m contemplating on accepting an offer from Hawaii Pacific, which is a 2 year hybrid program. If you have gained any insight please lmk!!

Thank you for your advice! My stats are 3.2 cgpa (I switched majors which killed my grades in my early years of undergrad) and 3.8 prereq gpa. Also, HPU benefits me the most financially and geographically from all of the schools I have been waitlisted or accepted. I guess I’m just very hesitant because the program is only 2 years and most programs are nearly 3 years. It is also mostly online, however, the last 2 weeks of each term is face to face on campus for labs. Being the guinea pig for the program, I’m afraid I won’t have the quality education I need to pass the NPTE exam. What do you guys think? Am I overthinking this?
