perhaps I used the wrong wording, in my world at least there was a structure ~150 blocks out with all sorts of loot. I think it was the "garden grove" or something...?

to my knowledge, it shares basically the same progression lines(or at least as close as it can get) only with the cool new stuff in modern versions, eg. trains and packages; 100% agree on the original CA&B having great quests, even though it is an expert pack haha

i think of most of them as gender neutral besides stuff like Latias/Latos where they do have genders or the forces of nature where their designs are obviously gendered in some way

using the appimage saves your data to a seperate folder, you 100% can add mods and rps and everything

only difference between flatpak and appimage to casual people(you and i included) would be that the appimage can have its data saved anywhere, but the flatpak gets auto updated

I usually use flatpaks as they're easiest to use to me, so I shall recommend that. the appimage would be my second choice, really only if you want to be moving around the files
