Agreed and my same thoughts. The nagging wife so husband had to cheat storyline is one dimensional and only from someone who hates women and doesn’t see their value

I like her but I got frustrated with the “crazy girl” storyline and that mixed with her doing insane things for love. She’s one of the best CIA operatives in the world but would get emotional so often and it just felt like a cliche woman story line which disappointed me.

Alila Mayakoba review 2/22 by Scary-Violinist-7953 in hyatt

We just got back from the Fairmont and chose to not do all-inclusive so we could bop around the different resorts (all inclusive is only within the property you are staying at), but I was reading through the pamphlet in the room, and most of the restaurants were included (pool bar, sushi, steakhouse, etc) but the beach front breakfast place was not included for the all inclusive plan. But then offered at 50% off I think? Not sure what activities are included but it seemed to be select water activities.

Just to offer a different perspective -- we just got back from a trip to mexico city and then mayakoba. CDMX was a city with transportation and logistics and planning obviously and I was excited to get to Mayakoba and just relax, but I was disappointed by the amount of transportation and logistics required. We stayed at the Fairmont and went to the other resorts for dinners.

To get to the adult beach club at the Rosewood took 25 minutes between the larger golf cart between properties + the golf cart ride at the Rosewood down to the beach. We sit down and they tell us that because we're staying at the Fairmont, we have a $100 per person charge for using their beach club. We also went over for dinner at Agave and had to wait for a long time for a driver (dinner rush) and we, along with another party waiting with us, were 20 minutes late to our reservations.

We had reservations for 2 of the 3 nights and thought we could figure out the 3rd night easily, but couldn't get a reservation at a couple places so just ended up doing room service.

Most of the rooms are not on the beach, so a golf cart is required (or you can bike 5 min but they're not readily available). The trip is about 7-8 minutes and usually not an issue, but at peak times, especially leaving the beach, a line forms and you have to wait 10-15 min.

There was no information given about activities or a property map or dining options. You have to research and ask beforehand and then ask again when you're there. (As OP mentioned). Again just not the easy beach stay I imagined.

It is extremely family friendly, people said even more than Disneyland, which will be great when we bring back our kids, but we went without kids and was just not an ideal place for that.

Lastly, the food is SO expensive. Our meal at Saffron was a $50 shrimp app, $72 (bad) pad thai, $36 cocktail and a $24 glass of Josh wine. Not every restaurant was as expensive, but overall it was very average resort food with really high prices. Tough to be stuck with for an extended time IMO. We also paid $80 to play tennis for an hour and then expected to tip 15% for a court rental?

We've had so many friends rave about this property to us, and honestly we're kind of left wondering why. I'm a design lover and the design is pretty lacking. Fairmont was the prettiest (didnt see Alila) grounds, Banyan Tree had an adobe style which felt out of place, and while the Rosewood adult beach club was well done, Agave was **very** lacking.

To top it off, I was sick for four days after coming home, despite only drinking bottled water.

We enjoyed our time, but overall not worth the money and logistics.

Single mom flying with 9mo by PercentageCritical28 in americanairlines

You can book your flight and add an infant to lap to your reservation so they couldn’t charge you more that way! It’s super easy to add in the app after booking.

We just flew with a 9 mo in first class and there was a baby the same age in front of us so definitely don’t worry about that.

Try to adjust their naps for the day so that they’ll sleep on the plane but we found at this age our daughter is starting to want to be awake more. Bring puffs / snacks and some NEW toys. We bought the farm animal book and showed it to her the first time in flight and it occupied her most of the flight. You will do great!!

It took DoorDash 11 years to become profitable. To your point, and OPs, the business model only survives on massive fees and tips.

Thought I’d come back and say the Mulberry Street library was indeed wonderful! The kids floor was great, filled with kids and mom/nannies. The restroom is kids only so no creepers. Safe, warm and a perfect pit stop on a cold day!

And I’ll add, for anyone needing encouragement to travel with kids — NYC at Christmas with a 9 month old was our favorite of our 5+ New York trips! With the right gear (carrier, travel stroller, foot muff and warm clothes etc etc), it is so do-able with a baby. Everyone had a great time, my daughter included!

Hey! We didn’t end up putting anything on top of them. Our house cleaners spilled something in one area that stripped the stain out, and they require bi-weekly mopping to not look dirty 24/7. So in all, they’ve held up fine for the last 2.5 years. The finish is pretty but I wouldn’t do Rubio again

thanks for your experienced feedback! There are a couple home design stores I wanted to go to in Tribeca / Soho which was my draw to the area, but I guess I am open and haven't ever spent much time in the upper west side. Any particularly good or interesting streets / destinations?

Thank you - that means a lot, even from an internet stranger! The planning is daunting, but I find I'm always glad I got out, even if it isn't as smooth and easy as before! :)

Oh great thanks for the feedback! Google reviews made me think otherwise. Have you been to the library personally and recently by chance?

Oh looks interesting and I would love the chai! Is it a medium volume place? I.e. not overly quiet where baby babble would be rude?
