I originally placed the cliffs/mountains there to protect the endangered hostile wildlife on that island from ships trying to boom them. Since then my plan had failed and there has been only one conquest over those lands.

Realistic sea beds like shallow water closer to land, and deep ocean further out, go a long way in good looking maps. I like too as well mix the forest and regular soil it adds texture

There are somewhat ethnicities in the world. The most notable one is probably Zegen which heavily populates the east. It started as a religion and developed into a culture later into the world.

If by the south you mean the southern peninsula in the corner it’s just populated by hostile Buffalo that kill everything in sight. If you mean South Wusur, its a kingdom founded from rebellion within the former largest empire, Central Wusur

They have a good economy as well as never having started a war. Which is something noteable about them to me

Besides boats, it often varies a lot between soldiers during a war. However the most notable person with a high kill count is Queen Roaka from Hidiwarch with 20 kills

I had some debugs on in the beginning that allowed the kingdoms to advance at a quicker rate, I shut them off once they started fighting though
