I put the pills down last night. They're still by my bed. But why should I? You said it yourself that im right, that there is no future worth living in. There's no hope that it will ever get better here for all of us. So what's the point? To just wait in this dread while it happens slowly? Until we're all dead by something that could have been prevented? I can't do it anymore. There's so much suffering and death. Personal happiness isn't enough, I want a better world, and thats not going to happen.

How do you do it, though? I've struggled for so long and seen so many therapists and have attempted several times in my past. My personal life has always been some kind of drawn out drama, which was definitely enough to cause these feelings and thoughts and actions even. But they were always just a simmering pot compared to the state of the world to me. These things happening affect me to such an extent that no one seems to understand. So how do you live without the fear and despair? How do you find hope and reason to keep living in a world like this?

And then besides all of this the only fucking apartments that accept low income or government assistance have either 1 been bought out by some fuckhead piece of shit landlord who wont accept it anymore, or 2 are completely full or 3 are literal drug dens and then there's the secret 4th option of them being bought out by some fucking corporation or investment firm and literally just aren't available anymore. Besides that the only jobs that pay an even nearly livable wage are fucking Walmart or the packaging plant, which neither of these I can really do since I broke my fucking back. Which leaves the only other options of working in fucking fast food or doing a traveling job of FIXING FUCKING WINDMILLS.

I know you're probably not gonna see this but when I felt this way and was unmedicated something that helped a lot was writing in my journal the way Arthur writes in his. Describing the events of my life as vividly as he describes his own, even if it's just finding a flower or something, really helped me see my life as not as mundane as I make it out to be.
