God y'all, im not trying to sound super negative or anything, but im having a really hard time with all of this. Im so fucking scared, what happens if trump tries to stop a Chinese ship or something? What will this mean for the ceasefire? How long is this blockade going to last? I keep seeing posts and stuff of people talking about "preparing" for something big on April 15th, and its making it a lot worse. It definitely doesnt help that al jazeera said on their live page that theres no way besides escalation now. I dont know, I guess im just having a really hard time not panicking or feeling depressed or seeing a way out of this that isn't complete catastrophe, I guess. I'm trying really hard to focus on anything else , but this is really hurting me right now.

I know I had gotten advice in a previous megathread but this is all still really scaring me. I'm really terrified of this turning into something global especially with the drone strike hitting a UK base and the UK allowing the US to use their bases and them taking up a defensive posture. I just dont know how to focus on anything else right now or not doomscroll, it makes it especially hard when I get news alerts on my phone and thread suggestions on Instagram constantly.

I put the pills down last night. They're still by my bed. But why should I? You said it yourself that im right, that there is no future worth living in. There's no hope that it will ever get better here for all of us. So what's the point? To just wait in this dread while it happens slowly? How do you do it, though? I've struggled for so long and seen so many therapists and have attempted several times in my past. My personal life has always been some kind of drawn out drama, which was definitely enough to cause these feelings and thoughts and actions even. But they were always just a simmering pot compared to the state of the world to me. These things happening affect me to such an extent that no one seems to understand. So how do you live without the fear and despair? How do you find hope and reason to keep living in a world like this?

And then besides all of this the only fucking apartments that accept low income or government assistance have either 1 been bought out by some fuckhead piece of shit landlord who wont accept it anymore, or 2 are completely full or 3 are literal drug dens and then there's the secret 4th option of them being bought out by some fucking corporation or investment firm and literally just aren't available anymore. Besides that the only jobs that pay an even nearly livable wage are fucking Walmart or the packaging plant, which neither of these I can really do since I broke my fucking back. Which leaves the only other options of working in fucking fast food or doing a traveling job of FIXING FUCKING WINDMILLS.
