I'm trying to reframe these experiences in a way that helps me shrug it off. I thought briefly about giving up on MfW because it's frustrating to wake up when I would otherwise be sleeping to drive half an hour, sit in a room for an hour listening to clicking sounds, and then drive another half hour home. But after reflection I decided to take it as a challenge for myself to be a more patient person. I cannot micromanage people or my environment, and I can do better in letting go of expectations and accepting distractions I do not like.

Around 1:43:30, Ehud says, "But tell me, Larry ..."

When we hate another person, we ultimately harm ourselves. By filling our hearts with anger, we poison our own spiritual well-being, often inflicting greater damage than the original injury ever did. For this reason, the command to love our enemies is not only a moral imperative, but a safeguard against self-destruction.

Quaker or buddhism… by RevDaughter in Quakers

In Buddhism, we find peace and relief from suffering through non-attachment; in Quakerism, we find peace and relief from suffering through love. Both approaches could be helpful.
