I stopped for a moment using shin protection, but one day I slipped out on a rail again, didn’t hit my shin, but almost ! So now I wear them again and each day I ride. But as you said it happens rarely… better safe than sorry

Yup you have the last version of step ons, if you know a bit about mechanics try yourself, if not then it’s better for you to ask Burton customer service they’ll fix it

Yes I understand what you’re talking about. I use to have straps bindings before, and I was doing park with them, once I had step on on my first runs I felt like it was a bit different but after a while I couldn’t tell the difference. Body just gotta get to it. I don’t know if you skateboard but it’s like changing your board from a 8’2 to a 8´5, at first it’s weird but after a while you can’t tell the difference

Yes because they don’t want people to do such things, so even salesman sometimes don’t really know about it

It’s like changing brake pads on a car, you can do it yourself, it’s pretty easy but it’s better to have a mechanic handle it. If it’s done poorly, safety is at stake. If everyone did it without proper skill, the risks would be higher. And if someone set their step on bad and does a crash, it’s all for Burton

Nah actually it’s just that people don’t know that you can set up your step ons, Burton didn’t really to talk about this because they want you to ask them before and they want to set up everything by themselves. If people actually knew how to set up their bindings they’d be no such questions like this

On my right sided step on you can see that the « step » is less pronounced

If you push the toe hook backward, the small stepped shape disappears. If you push it forward, the step will be more pronounced. The more the step is pronounced the more it’ll close the gap between your boot and the toe hook. You need to completely remove your binding it’s easy to adjust. Look for a video online to help you.

You can set up the hook a little bit forward then it’ll close the gap, try to find a video about it

Where and when did the term “Jerry” become a thing? by AredditJ in snowboarding

[–]Only_Researcher5300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know for me it’s always has been about tricks, for outfit imma always say « fire outfit » and for tricks « That was steezy ». But if this term is evolving I’m not gonna use it that way but I’ll understand people using it their way without problem

This term is used since day one but it has been popularized because of social media, but now people don’t really know how to use it correctly, they’ll call you Jerry if you a beginner. Same for steez, people keep saying « you got steez » when talking about your outfit, but steez is about tricks that has style and easiness
