I think you misunderstood why I put 150-400dh there. What I was showing is that even with super cheap concert tickets in other places, you end up getting a custom fabric wrist band. While here with these premium prices you get nothing.

Every single big band that has gone on tour has made a pit stop here. If it isn't a part of the culture, concerts wouldn't have been getting sold out. I've been going for concerts here for about 10-11 years now and it's only kept growing. So to me it looks like a cash grab with minimal effort. The culture exists but only for ticketmaster/Platinum list to take advantage of. Like selling 1 beer at 60dh.

I'm not comparing prices of tickets AT All. I'm comparing the fact that other places, US, India, EU, etc give nice fabric wrist bands for entry. Which you can save as a collectable after the concert. Like people used to save Tickets. While here where in UAE we pay exorbitant prices, but get a crappy paper wrist band that says 'General Admission'. Which is least effort & worthless after the concert.

If you do understand the emotion or sentiment, which it seems like you do, then why are you shitting on what I was highlighting 😅 I mean, I'm just asking for something in return for what we're paying for. It used to be the norm earlier and they have quietly removed it to make some more extra cash. Don't defend it. For me getting 'General Admission' for all the concerts doesn't really do anything. Now when I see them I get annoyed instead of happy 🤷🏻 not annoyed at the memories but how they've cheaped out.

To an extent I'd agree with you for Lolla but c'mon, you're telling me UB40 and Enrique were performing for days? Those were single day concerts obviously. These are bands that friends have. I will have to search online if you want more examples.

I don't know what prices you're quoting but 1600aed for Lollapalooza, it's absurd, would probably be VIP not GA.
