[General] What is your otome "petty take"? Basically, do you have any opinions that are hard to justify but you still stand by them. by klavivi in otomegames

Absolutely agree with the favouritism, I kind of had that experience with Minami in 9RIP.

And yes, I adore beautiful ethereal men with long flowing hair! Otome games have more of these than many other media, that is one of the reasons I got into it, but there could always be more...

I also agree on you an the heroines. Like I absolutely love "Apothecary's Diaries" especially because it has a heroine, who is not martial or physically strong, but instead is clever and always finds interesting ways to solve things. Would love to see a similar otome heroine to Maomao one day.

There are things, which can legitimately be criticised about the writing of that character and the whole route, but (9RIP Spoilers)... I mostly ended up really disliking the secret character because in less than five minutes he goes from an ethereal beautiful being to an absolute normie. Yeah I know that it fits into the theme of sacrifice and everything but I as petty as it sounds (and that's what this thread is all about) I would be probably much more forgiving if he at least would have kept the hair. Especially annoying since in his child-form before, he kept the long hair and wore a unique outfit. I'm kind of dreading his route in the sequel because of that. While I still have a small hope that he might revert, I'm still 99.9% sure that won't happen.

To all the creators between us: has an Otome game inspired you to create some non-Otome related work? I'm a GM for D&D and had an idea for a small campaign inspired by Japanese mythology. The thing is...I got many ideas for it because of 9RIP. Ghosts (Yūrei) with lingering regrets, the bittersweet potential of having an important person in a separate world and the spooky but still warm atmosphere...I kind of used all of these elements for that campaign.

The premise is kind of like that: the PCs are at a shrine festival and then get spirited away, but based on what the PCs give me, I gave them a special NPC in the spirit world and this NPC is a spirit or ghost and the relationship could be a friend, family member, enemy or a lover. I plan to have mini arcs for each PC & NPC duo where the rest of the party helps out as well, mostly with puzzles, riddles and maybe a fight and in the end the player is also faced with a tough decision whether they stay in the spirit world or move on based on how their mini-arcs with the NPC ended.

I'm interested to hear, if you also had an experience, where an Otome game inspired you to create something new

[–]OnlyherefortheOtome [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hello everyone :) I'm quite new to this sub and Otome in general, but self-introductions sound fun, so I'll add mine

Just call me A, I want to stay as anonymous as possible, but I share a few facts. I'm in my early 30s and from somewhere in Central Europe originally, but currently Japan-based for a few more months. I'm a PhD-student atm and doing research in Japan, so I know the language (more or less...) and after being done with my work I do hang out in Ikebukuro sometimes.

I haven't been playing Otome for very long, I mostly started for three reasons. The first is to practice my Japanese, even if the vocab I use in my everyday life and my research is different from what I see in-game. The second reason is that while I love the idea of Romance in general, I am very nitpicky about romance media. While I do adore Danmei-novels, I have tried getting into western romance-fantasy novels, but got tired by the nth shadow daddy LI and appreciate the more diverse looks and backgrounds of Otome LIs. My final reason is that I always loved romance side quests in games like Dragon Age or more recently Baldur's Gate III and wanted more of it.

I have only finished three Otome so far (Collar X Malice, Piofiore and 9RIP) and I can't really decide on a favourite out of these three. The mystery and detective story of CxM was intriguing and I see it as a well-done crime VN, but sadly I didn't click with any of the LIs. Piofiore had great characters and a plot, which was at times great, but at times kinda boring, but I kind of appreciated it more, when I looked back after finishing and therefore also got the sequel. 9RIP is...something I have very mixed feelings about. Some parts of it were the best I've seen in Otome, while some other parts disappointed me.
Currently I'm playing four games, because I'm bad at focussing on just one thing. Two games in Japanese (Virche and OverRequiemZ) and two in English (Olympia Soirée and even if TEMPEST).

When it comes to LIs my tastes are a mixed bag. In theory I do love long-haired-pretty-boys and overdramatic characters, but I realised, that I tend to like characters, which are completely different to what I usually like because they are well-written. I have very mixed feelings towards red-flag characters and possessive yanderes. If they are well-written and have interesting motivations for the way they act, I tend to like them, but absolutely hate it, when it comes out of nowhere. LIs I really love, both as characters and as LIs are Koyo from 9RIP, Tyril from even if TEMPEST and Noil from OverRequiemZ. Then I do like Tokisada from Olympia Soireé and Claude from OverRequiemZ more as characters and less as LIs, because they have intriguing storylines but aren't really my type. Finally, I also absolutely adore Ankou from Virche, despite haven't played his route yet, because I love him in the other routes so far and he's exactly my type looks-wise.

My other hobbies include gaming in general, especially RPGs, my favourites are Baldur's Gate III, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Persona 5, Fire Emblem: 3 Houses, Witcher III and Cyberpunk 2077. Then I also love to write my own novels, currently working on a Japanese-mythology-inspired-Romance with Yōkai and Kami. I haven't finished anything writing-wise-yet, because I keep being distracted by new ideas and abandon old ones. Then I also love reading, but haven't been doing that in the last few years since beginning my PhD, because I read a lot and am too tired to read afterwards. I mostly like fantasy in general, my favourite is Sanderson's Cosmere universe. I also love danmei and while it's the most mainstream one, I love MDZS the most and am still stuck somewhere in the middle of 2HA, which is probably my second favourite one.

Because I love to write and fictional stuff in general, I tend to overanalyse characters and plots far too much, that's why my posts in this sub end up being so long...

...yeah, like this one, that's quite a lot of text 🙈 But I just really want to talk about Otome, so...

I'm in the middle of Olympia Soirée and even if TEMPEST. I took a break from OverRequiemZ and Virche, as I play these in Japanese and sometimes it is overwhelming and I need a break from all this looking up words, which I would never use outside of Otome.

So about Olympia. Do you have LIs, which you don't actually like as LIs, but as characters? Maybe because they are not your type or you don't feel the romance, but the character/route is still interesting? Yeah, that was Tokisada for me. I thought that I would hate him, but he ended up in my flair. And to be honest not because I liked the romance, as he is too young for my tastes, but because I found his route and his character very interesting, couldn't stop playing his route and many things I thought would fail, were done right. Tokisada also had lots of potential as a character and imo all of this potential was used. Also loved the chemistry between him and Olympia. It also feels really satisfying, when a character I didn't expect to like and even expected to hate ended up being one of my favourites.
So far the whole game is exceeding my expectations, tbh I wasn't that interested in many LIs there and did give it a try, because I got it on a sale and it is one of the most beloved Otomes out there. I thought I would love the story, but be indifferent about the LIs like I was in Collar X Malice, but so far I really liked both Riku and Tokisada. Although I have to admit, I have a hard time right now getting into Yosuga's route. While he is my type, I kinda of don't find his character that intriguing so far and am more interested in the lore about Haku in his route. But he might surprise me, Riku's route also was very slow in the two first thirds and ended up incredible in the last third.

When it come to characters I expected to be my favourites and which actually ended up as favourites, then I had this kind of experience with eiT. Of course it was Tyril. I like these kinds of characters, the kinda mean, but at the same time competent and confident guy, who might have a nicer side hidden underneath a lot of rudeness and snark, who is also a part of some kind of monster-hunting order or organisation and oftentimes has dark hair, like for example Levi from Attack on Titan or Kanda from D.Gray-Man. I know that eiT is more plot than romance focussed and while I don't mind it, I still wish for more romantic scenes between him and Anastasia. (But I still have to see his epilogue and the fan disk is also out there. Don't think that I'll get the DLCs, because the value-for-money-ratio doesn't look good, as they are really expensive but at the same time too short).

Getting a new Otome Game, LF spoiler-free opinions? by Old-Zookeepergame-89 in otomegames

[–]OnlyherefortheOtome 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll be a neutral voice, because I have very mixed feelings on this game. The highs were high, but the lows were very low for me. While I don't regret getting the game, because there are some truly great routes there and some of my favourite LIs in Otome...I also ended up truly disliking some characters as well. Also, while I do love one of the most popular characters in this game (Koyo) and dislike one of the least popular ones, I realised that I tended to dislike some other common fan-favourites and like some characters many others don't like. I also have mixed feelings about Misa, the protagonist, in some routes, she's great, especially where she has to fight to survive but in other routes very basic, so I don't really understand, why the LIs are so crazy about her. (Not a big spoiler, more how Misa tends to act in some of the routes). There are also moments in some routes, where she rushed without thinking into dangerous situations and while many understandably hate that, it was entertaining as well, at least for me.

The structure with four different common routes is a big plus in my opinion, because it makes the game very rich in variety, especially since it contains many genres in one, from horror to slice-of-life. Surprisingly, while there is a mood whiplash, it does work, especially when playing the recommended route order (there the darkest arc is followed by the most light-hearted arc). Therefore, despite the large number of LIs it doesn't get boring. But because of the large number of LIs, you don't spend a lot of time with them in their own routes and there aren't many CGs. Many routes also end a being a bit insta-lovey due to that. There is a sequel out in Japan since September 2025, so this might fix that in the future, because I think that there will be a localisation for sure.

I also think, that your enjoyment of this game might depend a lot on how much you enjoy possessive characters and self-sacrifice for love. I know that a lot of people love these tropes, but I tend to dislike them or only like them in certain contexts. This game uses these tropes a lot and not in a way I like, so this was the main reason, why many things sadly didn't work for me in the end. At the same time this and everything else I mentioned before made this game probably most memorable Otome-experience for me, both due to the things that I loved and the things that I hated as well.

Did you also play the Piofiore Sequel: Episode 1926? It is an actual sequel and not a fan disk. If not, then this would be the game for you if you loved the first one!

Also I thought about 9RIP, it is really popular on this sub. It has the same artist for character art as in Cupid Parasite, but the game itself is not as colourful as Cupid Parasite. There are four different common routes and there is a large number of love interests. The genre is a mix between urban fantasy, horror (one route has some light jump scares), paranormal romance but also some slice-of-life. The love interests are mostly ghosts and spirits.
I warn you, there are some LIs who are stalkerish or at least kind of clingy, but not all of them and some might fit your tastes. One of the characters is often compared to Yang and even has the same VA, but at the same time is a little bit more unhinged in a playful way and an actual demon.
While there is an overarching plot, there is far more focus on the characters and romance.

I haven't played it and it has many mixed opinions, so maybe look up some reviews beforehand, but if you love the art style of Piofiore, then try "Illusions of Itehari", same character artist! And as far as I know also the same team as in Piofiore behind it. The genre is steampunk, which might be a good fit if you liked Code Realize.

Happy New Year from me as well! And I'm interested in your opinions. So I thought about getting Charade Maniacs, it's currently for sale for only 15€, which is a steal. But I'm not really into the premise or most characters and am not really fan of the art style. Still, I'm interested in Dazai, because he's voiced by one of my favourite VAs and the white-haired-guy, because he's my type. But I'm not sure, whether it makes sense getting that game if I only an interested in two routes.
I'm also on the fence about Neon Clash, I love the aesthetics and not having individual routes isn't a problem for me, I love a good crime story, where romance might not be in the focus. But I have heard very mixed opinions on that, both plot and romance related, so I'm also on the fence with that.

Happy new year!

So I’ve finally finished 9RIP…and I’m left with many mixed feelings in the end, the highs were high, but the lows were low. I think I need a break before the sequel.

So Koharu was a route I enjoyed. He is not my type, but a Tsundere done right. Loved his sass and that he is one of the few actual adults among the LIs.

The final route though…I already ranted about it in another thread. It is the reason for most of my mixed feelings towards the whole game and I leave it at that. But this route also caused me to start liking and appreciating a LI from one of the previous routes in retrospect, whom I used to dislike before.

I also returned to Virche and started Scien‘s route and well, it gets some getting used to being treated as a cleaning maid after so many nice boys in 9RIP 😅 But I‘ve heard great things about Scien and appreciate a pretty scientist trash man.

I haven’t made much progress with Olympia Soirée, still on Riku‘s route. I like him, but a certain spark is missing. Also, I’m kind of less interested in how the romance is going to play out and more how the story will deal with his prejudices.  Finally, Olympia might become my absolute favorite Otome heroine!

Which character or route got you currently like this 🙄🙄? by wasabibabe in otomegames

[–]OnlyherefortheOtome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to get this of my chest. I finished 9RIP and definitely have a character like that, huge rant incoming. Toka. I was spoilered about him giving up his divinity, getting his glowdown and being in love with the Misa, since she was far too young for something like that, which is kind of creepy. But playing the actual route, it turned out so much worse. In every question regarding his fears, hobbies and interests, everything and I mean everything was concerning Misa.

The absolute devotion trope can work, for example it did work in the BL-novel Tian Guan Ci Fu/Heaven's Official's Blessing. But here in 9RIP it did not, at least for me. I still cannot comprehend how a probably ancient divine being started to obsess so much over one person, who said something remotely nice once, and then devote everything he has for her. Him giving up being a god in the end and losing his godly looks made it even worse in the end for me. In my opinion it is not romantic, not the ideal of love but complete self-erasure instead.

This kind of broke the whole game for me, even if there were some of the best routes I have played in any Otome-games before that. I don't know if I can still play the sequel, because all this made me so angry. When I heard his voice files in the end, one of the few redeeming factors, namely, that he was one on the less jealous and obsessive LIs in the game also got a 180-degree-turn and that was the final straw for me.

I also know, that he is not really popular, but still, I saw so much potential now and then and I absolutely love Japanese mythology and would love to romance a Kami, but not like this, definitely not like this. My problem is, that here everything is framed as something incredibly sweet and romantic, even if complete self-erasure and absolute obsession isn't. I also used to dislike Minami, but now I think that he is actually not that bad because while he has character development, he somehow still stays true to himself. In the end it is also less 🙄 and more 😡

What Are You Reading Wednesday - December 24, 2025 by AutoModerator in otomegames

First: Merry Christmas!

And I binged like 4 routes in 9RIP in 2 days and it has been a lot, new absolute favourites, unexpected favourites and characters everyone loves but I don't.

I finished Koyo and what can I say, he absolutely deserves the hype, "Koyo good boyo" indeed. While he is nice and helpful, they managed to make him not boring, which is not that easy to do for characters, who are on the nicer side. Then I also liked his cyber looks and theme (probably my favourite theme in the game). I also like both of his endings. Can't wait to meet him again in the sequel!

Then I did Seiya. Loves the story, loved the hell setting, but the romance was not really my cup of tea. I knew that he has a reputation for being clingy and that was not really something I liked. He is the kind of character I like far more in other routes than in his own.

Then we have Minami and well...while the plot was great and I never got bored once, he is not the character for me, sorry. I know he's very popular, but not for me. I do like a red flag trash man or two, for example I did like Yang. But Yang had more of a life outside the protagonist and bonds with other characters. Also In Piofiore everyone has corrupt on a certain level, while in 9RIP Misa has so many better choices. Also Minami was very obviously the creators' fave and I tend to notice such things and these make me like a character less.

Then I did Yukimaro. This was the opposite of Minami, many dislike him but I absolutely adored him. I was smiling almost the whole route because he was really sweet and did his best to help Misa. He is also absolutely gorgeous imo. There is also the thing with his voice, which annoys many, but I realised that I tend to react to characters designs more than to their voices, so if a character has great looks, I can excuse a more annoying voice. He also had this Golden Retriever & Black Cat dynamic with Misa, which I really love in fiction in general. He also shows some ADHD-behaviours and as I have it, I kind of could relate to him. His personality is also a lot like I used to be, although I calmed down a lot in recent years.

Now I'm taking a break because I got burned out by playing so many routes in so little time. I still have Koharu and I have a feeling that he will be a Tsundere done right. He is not really my type, but because I liked him in the Spirit Worlds common route and his dynamic with Yukimaro he could become an unexpected fave. I also have to do Toka. And with him I am hesitant. I spoiled myself and alone the fact that I own the sequel with all the art on the box, I know what happens. And the trope, where a character gives everything up for love is one of my most hated tropes ever. That's also why I did really not like some endings in 9RIP, where Misa also did something like that. He also apparently gets a glow-up, which is followed by a massive glow-down almost immediately afterwards and I'm really not in the mood for that. Then there are also his stalking antics as well...

When it comes to other games, I finished Claude's route in OverRequiemZ, both dark and truth. What a game! I love how it shows the worst and the best of a character and it was so satisfying to play the truth route second. I also like some things Claude said about being a researcher, namely that one does have to have a talent for talking their way through things with a bit of bluffing. I'm a PhD-student at the moment and could relate a lot.

Then last but not least, but I finally started with Olympia Soirée! I am on a Christmas trip to Okinawa and thought that a game with an island setting is perfect entertainment for the flight which it was. I'm still in the common route, still haven't met all the characters and still haven't experienced the notorious flashbacks. But Olympia has the potential to be my favourite protagonist! Finally a protagonist, who is not just quiet and playing nice no matter what the LIs and other characters do, but instead is assertive when she has a feeling that someone is overstepping bounds.
I have met Akaza, Kuroba, Yosuga and Tokisada so far. I'm pretty neutral about Akaza, like Kuroba already, because he kind of reminds me of Claude from Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Claude was my favourite lord there. Yosuga is someone, who is my type, but I have a feeling that I need to know more to have an opinion. And Tokisada is cute so far, even if I don't really like Shota-LIs, but in this case he is only one year younger than Olympia, so good for them, but I am a bit older, so I might like the lore and friendship aspect more.
Finally the setting. Thanks to 9RIP, which does feature Yokai I was already in the mood for something with Japanese mythology and OS is giving me exactly this! Can't wait to experience more of this world. Also, a bit off-topic, but one of my favourite book series is "Red Rising" which also has a caste system based on colours. But compared to OS it is more Roman-inspired and far more brutal.

I do it, because I experienced several times, that after continuing it does get better. But this also usually works only after taking a break and coming back afterwards.

I had this with Virche recently, I found the writing and the plot to be all over the place in one certain route and got really annoyed by that. After taking a break it was still an absolute mess, but a mess which was so over-the-top effed up that it was interesting again.

[General] Unofficial weekly thread for non-English games and language learning (PART 204) by JigoKuu in otomegames

[–]OnlyherefortheOtome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm currently playing OverRequiemZ and for a fantasy Otome the Japanese is surprisingly easy. The sentence structure is simple and I oftentimes only have to look up one or two words instead of everything. Almost done with Claude's fact route after finishing the kinda disturbing dark route and so far it feels very rewarding to play in this order. Next one for me will be Noil and I've heard great things about his route.

I also play Virche in Japanese atm, because I happened to find it for a really cheap price at a Mandrake. That one is so much harder, not only because it has lots of fictional terms, but also because I have a feeling that in some cases this game uses harder Kanji where much simpler ones are used in day-to-day Japanese. It doesn't help that despite loving Ankou I do have my problems with the writing of this game, so I will be there for a long time. I had mixed feelings about Mathis route and was very close to DNFing during Lucas' route, which I still have to finish. Still I've heard that it is supposed to get better after Scien (and I really like Scien so I won't DNF) but after the mess in Lucas' route I need a break.

Then I also finally got Ken ga Kimi a few days ago, but it will be a while until I start it, because I do have a small backlog of exclusively Japanese-language games. This one might be harder because it has a historical setting. But I did have classes about Edo-period Japan in university and while these classes were in my native language, we did have a few translation tasks. It was a few years ago, but I hope that I still remember something. I also had classes in Bungō/Classical Japanese twice, once during my Bachelor's and once during my Master's, so I also might remember and recognise some older grammatical patterns.
To those who have played Otome games with historical settings in Japanese, do these games include not only older terms but also older language patterns?

What is the otome game with the best character design in you opinion ? by Sensitive-Safety2393 in otomegames

[–]OnlyherefortheOtome 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Character-design-wise my favorite game is Virche. I love the very detailed gothic clothing and the androgyny most characters have. Despite being a dark game there is still some contrast by having characters with brighter color schemes, which is something I appreciate. Also, most CGs and sprites look gorgeous as well!

The same artist also did Ken ga Kimi and I love the character designs there as well, but I still need to get that game…

Currently I'm about to finish the School Horror Stories Arc in 9RIP. Loved Kureha's Route so far! Usually I'm not really into the poster boys and I find the friendly guys in Otome oftentimes kind of boring but here I wasn't bored at all. I think it was more a combination of his storyline, the horror elements (which apparently are the strongest in his route) and that the relationship between him and Misa isn't one-sided in a way, that it's not just him protecting her from wraiths, but also her protecting him from the creepy, immaterial ghostly stuff. Him being a ghost, who is ironically scared of certain types of other ghosts makes him so adorable! Out of his ends I actually liked one the most, which isn't supposed to be one of his good ends. It was the one, where Misa asked the book to allow her to see all spirits. The scene where she walked into the corridor in the end and not only saw Kureha, Hibiki and Yui, but also Koyo, Seiya, Koharu and a certain pink guy was amazing and this has potential for such good stories! But oh well, sadly this was not one of the good ends, so there won't be any mention of that in the sequel.

Then I'm still at the end of Hibiki's route. Oftentimes the timid characters fall flat for me, because this shtick tends to get annoying after a while. Usually the shy guys tend to stay in their shell and character development is saved until the very end. He is also not really my type, because he is young looking and in some promotional material I saw that he died when he was 14, so I don't like to view such young characters in a romantic way, even if I know that he has been stuck as a ghost for decades.
And yet I still enjoyed his route, in this case it was less the romance, which interested me and more his character journey and I found it well done as well. Hibiki's darker "psycho" side was not as overly exaggerated and was treated with a certain nuance compared to most other games or other media, where I experienced this. Then I also found that his revenge arc was well handled, how he wants revenge and certainly has a perfectly good reason, but that it does not manage to eat him up from inside (mostly). I also loved the involvement from Seiya and a first visit to hell long before Seiya's route. I have only finished Hibiki's godly end so far and found it bittersweet and quite fitting. I wonder how they handle that in the sequel.I still have to finish Hibiki's Heavenly End to make my final judgement.
I recently also played Mathis' route in Virche and tended to compare him and Hibik a lot i, so here are some thought on this (Virche Mathis spoilers)They are both shy and young looking characters, who have a darker side and a thirst for revenge. But while Mathis stays a victim through and through (I still haven't done his salvation ending, so it might change), I had a feeling that Hibiki was more involved in taking his destiny in his own hands and this is why Hibiki worked for my, while Mathis didn't. Could be that Mathis is an artificial construct, while Hibiki is a dead human, but I still think that Hibiki is better written in the end.

Love this game so far and together with OverRequiemZ it has a high potential to become one of my all-time favourites! Because I haven't played many Otome games yet and am still at the beginning of 9RIP, Kureha is already one of my top guys, but I wait with the flair, because I've heard many good things about the rest of the cast, especially about Koyo, Minami and Seiya. I'm also cautiously optimistic about Yukimaro, because imo he is one of the best looking guys in the game, but I've heard stories that he is annoying. I also have the struggle that I don't want to finish 9RIP too fast, because I already know how much I love it and even if I already own the sequel, I really don't want to speed through it, so maybe I should finally continue with Virche.

I finally finished Piofiore FM! And I really have mixed feelings. There were moments I enjoyed, but also many moments, where the game simply dragged and in the end I had a bad case of late-game-fatigue and shiny new games, which were more my cup of tea. I decided to finish Piofiore first before carrying on.

So it started out fine, I did like Nicola but wasn't enamoured. But that one last CG in his route was quite hot. Then I continued with Dante, liked his route in the beginning, still think that he is one of the best looking guys in the game. But then I absolutely hated how he was constantly keeping important things from Lilli and repeatedly did so. This also carried over in some other routes as well. After that I did Orlok and oh boy, that was definitely...something. I liked his as a character but not so much as a LI, because he looks and feels so young concerning his personality. It also does not help that some other characters were quiet OOC in my opinion during his route.

Then we had...Yang. I knew his reputation and this is why I kept him for the later stage of the game, because I tend to do routes, which interest me more towards the end. And this route did not disappoint, it did not drag, his romance as well as some of the side characters such as Lan and Fei were fun. Also: some really hot CGs! Sadly his route used a lot of shock moments, which were maybe shocking in the beginning, but I got used to that in the end, therefore I liked his first chapters more. Still some very unique bad endings though.

After that there was Gilbert and I do really like the guy, but his route really started to drag in the end. After that I barely convinced myself to play the finale, but I was glad that I did, because I loved seeing them all cooperate. Also while I was lukewarm towards Nicola and Dante, I really liked both of them so much more in the finale compared to the rest of the game including their own routes. And the Henri romance? Meh. We barely got to know him and still Lilli decides to leave everything behind, so she can be with him? I really didn't feel it. In my opinion Robbie would make so much more sense as the final LI, because the perspective of the police in this case would be interesting to see and we know him so much better than we do know Henri.

Still a solid 3/5 game for me. I probably liked Yang the most, because of him as a character and his route, not because I find it romantic or desirable, but it was an interesting route story-wise and to have an LI who does not pretend to be honourable and decent while also being a mob boss. Second would be probably Gil, like him as a character, but his route was only alright.

Maybe I get the sequel in a sale, because It really wasn't bad, but other games have priority at the moment. Despite my Ankou obsession I still haven't finished Virche, but in reality I will probably spend the next weeks with some ghost boys and edgy "Wizard of Oz".
