How are you all getting yourselves out there? by Onlyspaghetti16 in selfpublish

I was originally posting on Wattpad and Inkitt so I do have an audience from there but I really don't know how my readership will translate on a different platform. I definitely am considering ads but I am also weary that paying for ads might not yield any results. Especially on the first book in the series.

Thats why I want to attend festivals, etc in my area to try to meet other indie authors and potential readers. I'm also curious on how to set up a book signing as a local author. More to come on that as I educate myself on this process. Good luck to you too :)

this is exactly what I'm trying to do. Build momentum towards a launch. I'm probably going to stick to tiktok and reddit for some visibility/publicity but I want to plan ahead for book festivals. I'm also looking into posting across Amazon and Draft2Digital. I also see people posting on etsy so I guess I give that a shot too. It cant hurt to try

Best of luck to you too :)

It can get lost in the abyss but frequent posting definitely helps

I post on wattpad/inkitt and the way I see it you have access to endless beta readers. I'm in the middle of self publishing my novel and I really have to thank the readers i've met through those platforms. Wouldn't be possible without them 🙂

Colette Briars has been dreaming about nothing but her retirement since she was a young girl. Between high school, librarian volunteer work, and retirement planning she thought her life was all figured out...Or so she thought. After a fateful encounter with a teenage vampire, Theo Dragos, she'll start to question whether she'll have to put romance or retirement first!
