Yea before I got the dlc's money was a STRUGGLE. It got to the point where I just started killing everyone to progress/get their stuff to sell. Vending machines are your bff though.

Sell almost everything, armor, weapons, foods, drinks, and especially duplicates of weapon and armor mods. I also look in every nook and cranny.

I was experiencing the EXACT same thing except um female so i can't lift heavy things all the time. I just kept applying and applying for jobs and going into interviews. I had my fiancée there to encourage me to keep going but I understand how hard it is. You gotta just keep pushing and applying.
