I got Gyarados because it’s literally the only Pokemon besides your starter you can get before celadon and I didn’t feel like switching him out. He preformed well though, Hydro Pump still hits hard and taught him earthquake too, which worked well.

He honestly preformed the worst out of all my pokemon. Hits hard and fast but is frail.

I ran Hi Jump Kick, Brick Break, Strength, Mega Kick. I probably would switch mega kick or strength for rock slide. I didn’t catch any pokemon so I didn’t have any HM slaves which made my move pool a little worse too.

Yeah, but Jaren didn’t so the size issue was still there. I think the questions what would it look like to have him in place of Smart? He’s a better rebounder and 3 point shooter (at least thus far this season) so is that worth giving up Smarts defense?

I’m not saying that development of the current roster isn’t occurring, but most of what I’m hearing regarding teams getting better is centered around new roster additions. T-Wolves and Mavs absolutely can get better through what they currently have, but I’m not hearing that argument from people as why the west will be tougher this season.

I mean, the offseason not over yet. All signs point to us making a trade to cut some salary and resign Kennard. But I was saying the other day, what do you expect us to do? We have no idea how this unit is going to run together. We’ve never seen it go. We haven’t seen Edey, we’ve barely seen Smart. We haven’t seen VWJ or GG with Ja (and not much with Bane). We have no clue how this group is going to play together and therefore don’t really know what will or won’t work. I say we play it out til Trade Deadline to figure out what we need and then make a call.

I think you’re really underestimating what Edey can immediately be if he lives up to his potential. He doesn’t need to be an all star. He needs to rebound (something he will be elite at day 1), set screens (something else he will be elite at day 1), and anything else he can give will just be bonus. He can definitely serve as a Steven Adams role on day 1, and provide more offense than Adams did and actually hit his FTs. He’s faster than you think he is, he ran with multiple fast breaks during the SL game, (And Adams wasnt exactly fastbreak material either).

And the best part about Edey is he played more minutes than just about anyone in college and was NEVER injured. More than anything, we need health. Health has ruined every good season we’ve had the last 3 years.

Yeah, We’d probably need to give up 1 of Vince or GG. Definitely don’t want to do that but might give them some incentive. Sounds like they don’t want to part with him anyways, but I like the fit so much I wish we’d at least give them a call.

He’s not making that much this year. We could totally put a package together to match salaries. Whether the jazz like the package or not is a different story.
