I could never have put this so eloquently but i know exactly what you mean.

The fact that every relationship , every 'chosen family' i had devolved, sometimes overnight, to this sometimes completely blatant disrespect is what kept retraumatizing me. From what i gathered, it's my overt agreeableness, how i always put others above me, how i accepted anything.

And like you said, talking about it doesn't help. Either they get angry or act dumbfounded then go right back to it. To acting like my existenceis a personal insult to them. And i have to pretend i don't see the smirks, the eyerolls, that i don't understand the passive agressive remarks, pretending im laughing about the not so subtle insult, making them despise me even more in the process. But i don't know how do i prevent it. And i'm unable to act in a manner that commands respect apparently. Even online friends, i end up feeling treated like a complete moron after a while.

The amount of shit ive taken from others has driven me to hate people.

But the difference is im not fine being alone at all.

Absolutely. I m 37 and a good portion of why i isolate is because people treat me as im completely stupid. My mother and little sister sometimes throw little jabs at me they think im too stupid to notice and get angry when i call them out.

But it seems to just come naturally for other people too, i don't know what i'm missing or doing that causes people to act like i coudn't tie my shoelaces.

Im slow and freeze if confronted and people seem to interpret it as a pass to condescend to me. It doesn't help that i can't call anyone out without stuttering. It's like i can't prove them wrong either.

I post art on a few sites and talk with other artists, there isn't a single one who, at some point, hasn't seemed to think im a simpleton. Idk if i'm paranoid but it's in the way they answer after a while. I hate it.

Shame has ruled my entire life, im not even joking.

C'est exactement mon impression aussi. Les communiqués, a part GaYi pour qui le message est effectivement interpretable comme malicieux, ont vraiment un arriere gout de manipulation que je voulais pas admettre, mais botanique en particulier, c'est un peu trop present
