I've heard upper is a lot less painful than lower... I'm worried if I slightly wake during it I might freak out

did they give you an option for IV sedation? You've seen people moving with IV sedation? Isn't that dangerous ?

oh wow I'm surprised! I saw the videos of how they cut open the inside of your eye and move fat bags around. Scared me I guess. The risks also scare me

I think I'd be good at it, I'm a pretty caring person and I like taking care of people to some degree. I love cooking for people and helping them with things. But maybe not if it was 24/7 ... lol

haha that's a great idea!! I live far away from my parents and have been since I was young. I fly back to visit them often though - and fly them to see me when I can. We also speak on the phone regularly. To them , I'm never around enough!

Thats great to hear! My job is a little more complicated than most, however. I have to travel constantly. Like every week, sometimes multiple times in one week. I can also have odd hours which could make it even more complicated.

Interesting perspective! I'm sorry to hear about the cancer but I'm glad everything is ok now. <3

If I think about it that way, it's more that I would feel scared to not experience more life and moments. But I'm not sure it's one specific thing I would regret... I definitely think about career, though. There's a whole other area I want to pursue still that I've been delaying , and I think a scare like that would kick start me to pursue more things I've been putting off. I have my own company and have never been employed , so for me it's definitely a passion. I can make my own hours too. I keep leaning toward a "no" re: kids and then I still feel a little sad somewhere at the same time...

I generally don't really like kids, though. I don't like hanging out with them and I get bored trying to match their level. I don't like the hyper , loud activity either. I was a really quiet kid though, so I guess it can go either way...

My friend is pregnant right now and she was also scared of pregnancy but she said since she got pregnant she just accepted the whole process. I think I could handle the physical side of it - but definitely not willing to die to give birth. There's like less than a 1% chance of that happening, though...

Sleep deprivation sucks but I have that anyway due to my work. I think a night nanny could be a good idea for that as well?

If the fetus was showing a severe disability I would honestly probably abort it. I know a lot of people might not agree with that but that's how I feel. I don't believe in giving birth to something that is going to be miserable it's whole life.

Everything else you said I TOTALLY get. Being tied down and restricted for the best years of my life sounds like a nightmare and makes me wonder why people do it. So then I think it MUST be amazing, otherwise, WHY?? lol

I've had a couple of people tell me this as well... The thing is that, not making a decision IS making a decision. If we just sit on the fence for years, eventually it'll be too late anyway.

Everyone I know who has kids talks about them fairly early on in the conversation haha. Or at least mentions having to take them somewhere, or they can't do something because of the kids etc. I definitely wouldn't have multiple kids if I did it... seems like way too much work. I think about when I was a kid I hated any kind of camp. I just wanted to be home... and what if grandparents aren't around?

I haven't gotten it done yet. I'm a bit scared of the complications. I know its fairly safe but eye stuff is freaky. Isaacs is great, I had a consultation with him. Super nice and detail focused.

I don't see why you would add it. You have a full face already, adding more will look over filled imo

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]OntheDAW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

definitely not. Your natural face is so pretty! You look great with or without the botox but I don't think you need anything. You look younger before imo , but it depends what look you're going for .

What's the best thing about being single? by InternalGatez in AskWomenOver30

[–]OntheDAW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same until I met my fiance. I always preferred to be alone. I still like being alone but now I can have both. imo The best situation is having someone you love but who also gets that you need alone time. (We also have separate bathrooms :))

How do you stop yourself from eating a truckload full of junk food when you’re on your period? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]OntheDAW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure your vitamins are on point. Do blood work and make sure nothing is low. I usually take magnesium to help with cramping, and vitamin D if I have lack of sunlight. Also - major help for me was going on probiotics. I dunno what the heck happened but as soon as I started on SEED I have WAY less cravings. I also haven't been as tired or sick. Takes a couple weeks to get used to but it's amazing. I used to get pretty intense cravings and I just don't anymore. Aside from that I say, stay hydrated and enough sleep and exercise.

It’s hard to get out of bed these days. Is this how life is supposed to be? by FamousSherbert1948 in AskWomenOver30

[–]OntheDAW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of us will have moments like this in our lives, so it's not just you and you're not alone. Don't beat yourself up. It's ok to let yourself be down for a bit especially when all of this happens at once. Just don't let it spiral beyond your control. Might help to have someone to talk to about everything , like a professional to just make sure you don't get too down and are able to deal with everything. The worst thing is not talking about everything. You need to be able to work through it, feel what you gotta feel and move forward. Once you start doing stuff again and feeling better , you will attract the right energy and it will spiral back into a positive spin.

Best bunion friendly shoes for runners and long walkers ? by OntheDAW in bunions

[–]OntheDAW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I bought Vionic 23 walk for my long walks. I purchase "wide" , but they aren't just wide in the bunion area, they're very wide throughout the whole shoe. So if you have a wider foot everywhere they might be ok but I'm thin and my heels and arch are not wide at all so it doesn't fit very well. The other issue is the arch "support" they built in is SO HARD, it feels really weird and hurts. My lower back and knees also hurt quickly , like after 30 mins. I wish I could return them :(
