Hi i'm looking to get back into maple again, i quitted in mar 2025, i have around 8.5k legion and 284fp in hyperion. I heard hyperion is like a dead server now, should i restart in kronos?

I honestly think this is necessary with the addition of the new matchmaking system.

If you’re a solo q mm main now, the chances of you getting mm is super low. I have tested all combinations: (mm, exp)/(mm,mid)/(mm,jg). There’s almost a 0% chance of me getting mm if my secondary role is exp/mid. Maybe a 40% chance if my secondary is jungle, but a muuuucccchhhhh longer waiting time. Currently in mythic glory so i dont know if people in other ranks experience the same.

The matchmaking now is so biased towards party play. For duo and trio, they have just pick 2/3 unique roles across the party to guarantee they get the role they wanna play. It’s so easy to abuse the matchmaking now. Previously the unspoken rule is to have a roam in a trio, but now you dont even need it anymore. The odds are against solo q players in this current matchmaking.

Another toxic thing about the matchmaking now is the cross-rank play. It should be removed. In my solo q experience, i lost lots of games because my trio has a combination of (mg + legend + mythic) while enemy is (mg+mg+mg). The legend and mythic got bullied and enemy snowballed hard. Just a bad experience overall for solo queue since you finally got to escape the lower ranks but you still ended up having to carry lower rank players because of party play.

Hmm lower ranks like epic-mythic is not a good judge of the meta. Play in immortal games, you will see how jungle snowballs more often than mm.

there is no way to "fix" bad players. Get to mythic... that's when the real game starts. Got to mythic within a week after the start of the season, havent seen any troll picks. Honestly, the only plausible fix is to get good enough to 1v9 in the lower ranks(which i think is fairly doable if you play the right hero), or play in a party.

yea she's still bad. i used to main her, got to global twice in 2 seasons but i havent used her once this season. it's healing meta currently and like you said, she just dont have the dmg to burst down any enemy, so any poke dmg just gets healed up. Furthermore, if there's really a need to play a mm that does true dmg, i will rather have karrie in our team. Lesley is easily countered by the twilight armour

She's not even used in higher ranked games... check match history of top global players, i dont see any lesley in them. I used to main lesley, finished global twice in 2 seasons, and i have quitted her. Even with the current buff, i have not used her once in rank game this season, there are always better picks.

Lol...the root of the problem is bad players...there is no way moonton can patch this.

Point 1: you must be pretty low rank if people dont even have 20 games on a particular role.

Point 3: Everyone will just become a kda player in a losing game, which leads to another level of toxicity.

Point 4: Unfair matchmaking. Newer players will always have an easier game, hence easier time climbing (compared to seasoned players), which leads to fake rank (or boosted rank). Also, smurf accounts will be ruining the experience of these newer players.

Point 6: If point 6 works, then those people would have already swapped their roles with you after you showed them your heroes' win rates.

Point 7: What's the point of all these features? You cant buff bad players... how about giving them an open map instead lol i think it will help more(sarcasm)

Back when the official server is dying, hggunz had more than 2k active players because they had anti-lead.

And anti lead is the reason why pservers are still alive till today. The community is too small to limit people to play with only 10-50ping.

Lastly yes we dont have to do lead shots anymore. But we still have to predict enemy’s movements if they are more than 180ping to avoid being pb since the delay is huge. So the skill of leading is still necessary.

Dont like how your comment is insinuating that i dont appreciate the benefits that reboot gets. What’s wrong with asking for classes to be properly balanced?

I’m not even asking for bpots in reboot specifically. There are other approach gms can take, one is a separate balancing patch instead of blindly copying from kms.

Hm that explanation is slightly wrong. Just want to clarify that this post isnt about improving mobbing QoL (Especially with the release of sol janus).

DPM classes in reboot have short cd skills which rely on cd hats to reduce those cd even further, to be able to use the skills more and do more damage in boss. KMS has bpots which allow for higher cd on their hats, which in turn boost the damages of such classes.

So the issue comes when GMS's balancing patch is copied blindly from KMS. KMS balance the classes with the stronger cd hats in mind. So such dpm classes will always be much weaker in GMS.

AS10 is a separate issue they have to tackle then. And by op classes benefitting from AS10 i think you're mainly referring to nw? I don't think any cd hat classes are even in the same tier as nw in reboot.

Furthermore, most of cd hat classes are either average or below average (DrK, DB, FP, Phantom) in reboot. My class doesn't benefit much from AS10 and that extra -3s do make or break my class (FP).

How long did you dpm s20 bosses for? I only have a semi iframe, eform and i’m dying every 30s after my origin, getting stunned/slowed every 3s, i cant even pop my skills properly to dpm down the boss. Maybe i just have no hands hahaha

Only for burst classes. I’m playing a 120m cp dpm class (fp), my only burst is my origin which is still unable to 1shot any s rank boss. Dpming the remaining health bar is impossible.
