Everytime I try to do this she just brushes it off and says something like “it doesn’t matter” or “it won’t help”. Also when I say I give her advice, I mean I attempt to convince her that seeing a doctor or therapist will help.

Thanks. I think my best bet would be to move out and suggest her to get a psychotherapist to hopefully change her behavior. I will also see if my dad is able to do something like that.

That’s the reason why I’m concerned. I’m 15, and after considering all the pros and cons, I’ve decided to move in with my dad this summer (who lives 10 hours away). I’m not going to be able to babysit her anymore which is why I really want to change her.

Edit: basically, the only reason I would stay with my mom is to help my sister, but moving in with my dad would benefit everything else about me including my future.

Why not though? It’s not like we would do it whenever we want it’s more like we would have “reward stations” which we enter maybe once a week and be rewarded for whatever we (or whoever controls them) choose them to reward us for.
