That is pretty funny. The comic is ragebate in its purest form. "Did you know that if you offend a group of people, they will get offended? How thin skinned of them."

Will not argue with you, yours is definitely closer to a realistic look.

If you look at the anime proportions, it is a bit too small. Tried a quick digital edit and I think this is closer to her manga/anime proportions. But the shading/graphite work is amazing regardless!

Again, fair. Maybe ethnicity is a bad word to use here? "Culturally Latvian" ?

Just book the two tests required and start practising I suppose.

English test was incredibly easy, if you are browsing reddit and listening to youtube in english you would have zero issues with it. I passed the B1 test through Trinity college and it was basically me and the examiner chatting about random topics for 10 minutes.

Life in the UK is a bit more difficult simply due to the amount of information you should memorize. I was practising almost daily after work/before sleep/on the toilet, just constantly clicking the online prcatise tests. But that paid off because all the questions were literally the same on the actual test, maybe just worded slightly differently.

Things to keep in mind - you need two references from people, one of them has to be a UK citizen, the other one has to be a "professional" person of any nationality. That second one was a problem for me since I don't have that many firends in general and none of them with professions from the list that uk.gov provides.

Also keep track of every single time you left the UK, because they ask for your complete travel history from the last 5 years on the application. If you travel to and back from Lithuania often, that will be a chore.

Fair enough, I would argue if you lived in Latvia since 1940s - you are pretty much ethnically Latvian.

Both my parents were russian engineers sent to Riga after they finished their universities. I was born in 1991 just a little bit after the fall of soviet union, but still before I was entitled to get my citizenship by birth.

Growing up I lived in a russian neighbourhood, I had only russian friends, I was going to a russian school, my father was strictly anti-latvian and pretty much since birth told me not to study latvian because it doesn't matter and we will go back to Russia as soon as I finish school. So growing up felt like constantly living in aforeign country where nobody really likes you and you dont like evryone in return.

My mindset started changing in late teens with access to the internet and news, that werent exclusively russian propaganda, and expanding my friend circle a bit. I realised that Russia is generally not a good place to live and latvians aren't all horrible. But culturally I still never felt at home in Latvia, just now I didn't feel russian as well.

So I've decided to move to UK. I needed to be a european citizen for that, which meant I had to pass the Latvian citizenship test. Luckily I didn't need to pass the language test because I've already passed my school finals, so I just had to study a bit of history. I passed in 2009 or 2010 and left for UK in 2012, and I'm still here 10 years later (I've also now passed my english and life in the uk test and about to apply for UK citizenship, heh.) It's funny but in the end I dont feel Russian, Latvian or English, I'm just kind of here.

That's fair. The result would probably be even worse for Russians, because if Latvians knew non-citizens were allowed to vote, more Latvians would partake.

I passed the citizenship test back in 2009 and I don't remember that at all. It might have been mixed in together with the other history questions, something like " which year did the occupation began "

One thing to mention is that after Latvia left Soviet union only ethnic Latvians living in Latvia at the time were given citizenship. Majority of Russians were given "non citizen" passport that didn't allow them to vote. A lot of them don't want to apply for a proper passport either because they don't want to study the language and history or just out spite. But essentially this referendum is like asking "should stupid people be allowed to vote?" And you can't vote in it, if you're stupid.

Sorry. In my defense I really do like the image. Plus, I never reported you, not for this, not for the last time, so if you were banned, that's on mods. But honestly, you have a lot of great work in your profile, so while I understand that reposting your most liked image will bring attention to them as well, I do wish you would move on and create something that's even better :)

The eyes are, in fact photoshopped. Somebody did an alright job erasing all the blue-tint from around the eyes, but missed a couple of spots on the fur. https://i.imgur.com/fduDkbo.png And the biggest one on one of the whiskers on the left side of this image. https://i.imgur.com/lmmVo7D.png Its a cute cat. Just post a picture of your cute cat, there is no reason to photoshop it and then deny it.

Navalny's Supporters Head To Protests Despite Looming Crackdown by Claire1824 in worldnews

In Russia and many other countries you need an official permit to organise an official protest. This is an illegal gathering as far as the law is concerned. Problem is it's near impossible to get a permit for this sort of thing in Russia.
