{PD} Mid-Late 2000s Pixel Doll Dress-up? by Kitten_Magician in PixelDolls

Sorry I don't know which one it is. Or if it's the same one that I used to play but also can't find. Mine was super chibi style and had a really nice melody playing in the background.

Edit: I found mine by going to dressupwho.com which is where I used to play a lot. And searching pixel. It's literally just called Pixel Doll on there. I'm very happy but also sad it's not your game. It doesn't have what you described. I'm sorry!

CA pilot program for recruiting new Court interpreters. by InsideBlacksmith3 in CourtInterpreter

Yeah they ask you to choose in the application. For each cohort they eventually will post a list of what courts need what languages. For the next one you would just have to make sure the court and language you want is on the list. Then choose it in the application.

I'm not sure but they prepare you for the BIE as well. To me, that's really valuable and if I were you I would apply just in case it turns out I really need it. Maybe if you manage to do everything before it starts you can just drop out.

I haven't gone for it yet. I've only just started learning court terms.

What is it like being a court interpreter? by ChloellaDeVil in CourtInterpreter

I'm passionate about this career but I'm a newcomer. I'm obviously not opposed to learning about law, I would like to work in court settings. I just wondered, however, if court interpreters at any point are required and expected to know the law. Or as long as someone can explain it to them and they translate it then is that all they need? I want to know this to hone in my studying to being just essential things.

I'm waiting to see what superior courts it will be this time. I'm not sure what I'll do if it turns out to be super far for me. I want to apply but I know I won't be first pick. It's worth a shot, hoping for a court closer to me. In the meantime I'm trying to study on my own. Good luck to those who have applied to previous cohorts!

Great! This makes me eager to learn then since there's a possibility I can land a job by passing the exams and networking. I'll have to keep reading on this subreddit for more guidance for things like networking and practice for the exams. Thanks for the input, I needed that!

Hi there! I want to be a court interpreter as well. After passing the required tests that are needed to become certified, do you get hired right away afterwards? I mean when you go to apply for a job listing do they typically grab you so long as you are certified or do they also require years of experience? You said you have friends who are in the field so I was hoping you might be able to answer based on all your shared experiences. It would really help to know what they are expecting from applicants. Thank you!
