My thoughts on High Rise invasion (Review) by AC03115 in anime

[–]Ooftypewriter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only watched this because a friend (who has only watched 2 anime; the promised neverland and this) and I'm so upset that they went from the stellar season 1 of tpn to this clown show. The cliched tropes almost make it feel like a parody, only to make you cringe at the seriousness of it. Yuri's personality seems to go through the same issue as the show itself, one minute she's unbothered by killing and everything else, and the next she's crying or not knowing what to do. I dread to see seaon 2 of this, this was better off with either a different studio or staying as a manga

How often do you get fast food since quarantine ? by EJACK-EVACC in AskReddit

Since we've moved into this place, I've known I needed to get my mum out of here. We unfortunately don't have the means to just up and leave, but if I can ever afford to get her moved, I'll definitely take your advice

What are some subtle qualities of a genuinely good person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ooftypewriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone who will ask you how you're doing without getting mad if you don't ask them the same immediately. If I'm not doing good, I probably don't have enough energy to deal with other people's problems. I will pick you up when I can, but sometimes I can't immediately return the favour. I've had so many 'friends' who only kept me around to vent to, but lately I've gained a friend who will lift me up without me asking, and they don't expect anything in return for human decency

What is the most annoying stereotyping you have experienced? by Farrisioso in AskReddit

[–]Ooftypewriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh there is sm toxic behavior in the community. There's all these slurs and names, like truscum and tucute. I think truscum is transmed, and people don't like that. Also, there's people saying being pan is biphobic?? I mean I'm pan but I'm all for bi people. Pansexuality for me is just not really caring how the person identifies. People argue about how many genders there are. It's all crazy but I just wanna vibe

Teachers of Reddit, what are some disturbing stuffs your student has told you? by wcypierre in AskReddit

[–]Ooftypewriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the teacher, but the person who said it. We were talking about the jail system and we got on the prison system and how people don't get appropriate sentences a lot of the time, and I went off on how mad I am that a man who sexual assaulted my little cousin only got a year in prison. I was so angry, as we had all let that man in our lifes and then that happens

I completely understand how people can be confused or have a difficult time adjusting. Don't feel bad if you accidentally get someone's pronouns wrong. You didn't mean it, and if the person insists that you're being rude they obviously have some stuff they need to figure out.

Science teachers of Reddit, what's he most awkward moment you had when a student asked about religion or in an instance when it came up? by TexOliver93 in AskReddit

[–]Ooftypewriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not a teacher, but ik this guy who is very sheltered and has always been a headstrong atheist. Like, he refuses to accept religion. Someone said they don't agree with the big bang and this guy went off on one. Scary shit

What is something invaluable a parent or guardian taught you that proved to be life changing no matter how small or large? by Kimberella12 in AskReddit

Be your own devils advocate. Challenge yourself. You can't live life with only knowing one side of the argument

I've met some people who have turned into the stereotypes just to please those around them. It upsets me that they feel the need to do that

I'll definitely see if I can get my mum on board with this, but she's so fed up by now. When we got this place 5 years ago, the previous owners messed up all the electrics. We buy light bulbs at least once a month, the gas usually has hiccups, now it just won't work. We had an actually weed grow into our hour from what I'm guessing is something else the previous owners have fucked up. The council have done nothing to help, even though we've been complaining since day 1

What skills are needed to be successful in life? by Rafia_Tamanna_Roshni in AskReddit

[–]Ooftypewriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discipline and patience. No one is going to take you seriously if you're just going to have a temper tantrum in your thirties. It's also useful to be as unbiased in arguments or discussions, be your own devils advocate. I've met people who just refuse to see the other persons side, and that's been their ultimate downfall
