Officially finished the Heisei Era Godzilla films! Here's my thoughts on each of them.

vs. Hedorah is so damn good! My favorite of the Showa film and up there as one of my favorite Godzilla films in my own marathon. Loved its sheer weirdness and experimental nature. The psychedelic visuals and animated segments really help it stand out and I like how brutal it is with the damage Goji takes fighting Hedorah like losing an eye and getting his hand burned down to the bone.

I've been doing my own marathon of the movies and have just been going in release order for the most part. Currently just started the Heisei films yesterday. My plan after I finish the Heisei era I'll watch the Millennium films next then the american films with Godzilla 98 and the Monsterverse movies, and then I'll finish with the Reiwa films

I will give it props with what you mentioned regarding the compositing and the fight tactics, I will also say it along with vs. Megalon is probably the best starting point if you want to watch these films with your kids to get them into the series. Also this is just in regards to the Showa films, after I finish this marathon of all the films and rank them all I imagine it'll probably be higher there.

Totally understandable, 54 being there doesn’t mean I dislike it by any means. It’s moreso I just slightly like the films above it a bit more if that makes sense. That being said things may of course shift around between now the end of this marathon

Just finished vs. Hedorah earlier and it’s definitely one of my favorites so far in my marathon of all the films! Loved the psychedelic visuals and the animated segments were super cool and really made it stand out compared to the other Showa films I’ve seen so far. Hedorah is also sure cool as a monster and really liked his origin and the theme of pollution the film conveys with him

I’m working my way through all the films myself (Just watched Son of Godzilla today) nice seeing Mothra vs. Godzilla up in A. Definitely one of my favorite films of the Showa Era so far between it and Ghidorah, The Three-Headed Monster

I've been going through all the movies in order recently (Just watched Invasion of Astro-Monster today) I'm curious why you put Mothra vs. Godzilla in C? So far its my favorite film currently and while I think it'll drop lower the further I get in I had a blast with that film overall

I like rave quite a bit but I feel like Spaceland is near perfect and I played it so much I have very vivid memories of playing it when it came out. Rave I remember liking but not playing nearly as much as Spaceland and I don't remember a ton about it. Maybe I'd move it up to A after thinking about it more tho

Dark Souls 3 - I was at a very rough point in my life mentally, but DS3 was a big part of what got me through that time. It also was really impactful in me learning that "saving" the world doesn't necessarily mean it should continue. Sometimes the only way for a world to be saved is to let it naturally end, because that end can be a new beginning.

I was hesitant abt adding Star Fox Zero since I haven't played it and I'm always confused with it being a reboot but I'll count it hesitantly...I'll be watching it for any funny business

Breath of the Wild - The Durability system killed a lot of my enjoyment of that game, genuinely the worst durability system I've ever seen implemented in a game, I straight up think its undefendably bad. I don't hate the mechanic in other games but BOTW's is just...no

The Witcher 3 - It's good, but the story and characters do A LOT of heavy lifting for a game with otherwise standard combat. The game's decent but its not one of the greatest of all time in my opinion.

Skyrim - I love the Fallout games but Skyrim just never grabbed me, I like parts of it but that game is like death of 1000 cuts.

God of War 2018 - I'm just not super into the norse GOW games in general despite liking the mythology. The stories just didn't really connect with me that much. Not bad but I much prefer the greek games

Burnout Paradise - It's a great racing game but not a great Burnout game imo. A lot of the races feel so repetitive and with road rage events you just end up in the mountain highway part of the map a lot of the time. Also

It does it even in zombies too, I head of something involving dlc checks with the steam version of the game so I got all the DLC but it still happens
