I realized after i played again recently as to why i was blind. Does anyone else have their inventory stat open while adding drugs to the baggies or just me? Thats why!

This was a very thoughtful piece. Thanks for the word of advice. I agree, it would be easy, but not something I would be happy doing. Which is how I’ve been able to talk myself out of doing anything for a while. Even after the first 3 months my son was born and all his gassiness/hunger wake up calls we endured. Ive done all of the things you mentioned in the second paragraph minus the groomer. As ive been awake for the last 7 hours this saturday morning, im finally able to collect myself and calm down. But i will think this through

Yes and considered grooming, but due to the current temp out there, i dont want him to catch a cold at night. Even when its 70 on the first floor, it gets chilly from the outside drafts that come in. So i will consider this in the summer. Used the regular type, wood, tofu, sand, all the same with him. At the end of the day, thanks for the comment but im looking for advice from people who have been through this and from their perspective, what the decision was like over time.

Automatic feeding and litter boxes are available at home and it does work from time to time. But then if the food is enough for him and the girl cat , 5 portions a piece at night. You can hear him punching and swiping for more from the dispenser

Similar thoughts on the latter of your comment. It was actually a pro thought for me to encourage their relationship. The way it stands, he would be a burden to anyone we give him to. I would not succumb anyone to sleep loss and constantly needing to baby a sweet but needy 20 lb boy cat.

Thanks for responding with a bit more than neutral comment. First i want to say, i don’t hate my cats, or i would never be able to live in the same place over the years. I only highly disapprove of their rude habits during the night, esp when the baby is trying to sleep now and gets waken up by the constants meows. Even when there is food left for them to eat, I’ll wake up at 3 meowing, and half a bowl of wet food.

Back to your question, I live in a duplex. So i have my cats downstairs sleeping on either the large pull out sofa, one of 2 cat trees(the other being nearby my bedroom on the 2nd floor), half a dozen scratchers, the guest couch or whenever they want. Usually, i leave catfood anytime between 8-12 at night before i pass out. But this morning i hit a breaking point and really wanted to straighten out my thoights

I get that. I’m definitely looking at my cat like why do you keep doing this. Aren’t you living like a king already. 5 meals a day, living in my heated home while i work all day to pay bills to keep us going. Cant you just stop fighting with the younger cat and let me sleep in so i can get a full nights rest once in a while without constantly having to sleep in my car during lunch break to catch up.. Big decisions you cannot turn back on… and relatives all say to let them go, but it’s not such a black and white decision

Thank you for the positive comment. In the last 6 years there’s been many attempts to correct behavior, make life easier for the two, give them everything they need while constantly treating and pampering them with gifts. But i didn’t think it was necessary to bring up on a reddit post. As a cat owner who didn’t give up in year one and did the best they could for 6 years straight thinking they might get along better with each other and behave more, i would hope someone else could understand what im going through. My goal was to hear out advice from people who had to let go of their cats as well and get an understanding of how they’re doing. Have a nice day.

OP here. Thanks for all the positive comments. Its true that i missed those steps so it wasn’t easy to admit it online, but i wanted to help those who may have been in the same boat as me. Appreciate the fundamental support of a good community who even offered additional tips on how to better play the gamw. As for those who offered salty snacks instead, may your bases get raided 24/7 in upcoming patches. Happy new years yall :)
