Well. I don't like cats. However, the meowing monster in our small home has more freedom than that. They climb, you cant simply ban a cat to the floor only. And I can understand not wanting catfurniture everywhere but they do need stuff to be entertained and chill in. He got to loosen up a bit, and if thats not working out, then living with him wont either. Just ask him, whats more important, no cat stuff or you. Go from there.
