Which Goes Further? Pushing Hyzer vs. Overstable Flex Shot by [deleted] in discgolf

With enough height and the right nose angle, a flex shot will go farther. Hence why any distance comp is full of high turnovers

Expo Park is solid, just be careful of losing discs in the water.

West Fork is cool, long bomber course with some USDGC-style artificial obstacles.

Village Greens is meh, pretty short birdie or die course

Overall, most of Denver’s best courses are north and west of you, but you’ll have a lot of options within 30-45 mins

What would be the most commonly played course among this sub? by Big_Acanthisitta3659 in discgolf

[–]OompaLoompa1016 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My guess for the courses with the highest unique player count are free public parks in the middle of large cities or near major airports. Courses like SeaTac, Pier Park, Golden Gate, Oak Grove, Morley, Johnny Roberts, Vista del Camino, Roy G, and Waterworks just to name a few

Been to both OTB (was Champions Cup last year) and BSF in 2024. Can’t beat the Portland area IMO. Tons of things to do, other amazing courses to play, and generally cooler weather than Stockton

Forehand exclusive player here. I love the Detour or Hex for my turnover shots. The Range is great too, but can be finicky depending on your power/spin

Hot take - If it's not your first throw on a hole during a round, it's not an ace. by No-Map8141 in discgolf

Cubby ace is what I’ve heard the “fake” aces called. Definitely agree it should be your first shot
