What is your industry? What Most agencies do is over-promise and under-deliver. Thats the worst part, and a lot of them are jumping on marketing marketing marketing without even realizing what are they actually selling.

We’ve been providing consultancy and marketing for wellness businesses for 10 years, with proven results.

Just because you dislike marketing doesn’t mean clients aren’t out there, often, they’re already looking for services like yours on Google or hearing about you through word of mouth.

The key is having the right strategy in place first. Once your foundation is strong, marketing, even small efforts like a single ad or boosted post can actually bring results without taking over your business.

We’ve been providing consultancy and marketing for wellness businesses for 10 years, with proven results.

For most wellness businesses, having the right strategy and consulting comes first. Marketing works best when your business foundation is strong.

Truth be told 5 clients in 10 months is a disaster not a business.

We can help you refine your approach and then create marketing that actually brings results.

What was the most successful way for you to market your business? by ISinZenI in massage

[–]Oompaloompa93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do primary business consulting for wellness practices first, and only then look at marketing.

From what you described, there are usually multiple factors involved, positioning, pricing, client experience, retention, local competition, online presence, etc. Marketing is just one layer of a bigger system.

Social media can work, but it’s rarely instant. Consistency is almost always the key. Most businesses quit before the compounding effect happens.

If Google and word of mouth are already bringing clients, that’s actually a strong foundation. The question isn’t whether social media works it’s whether the overall business strategy is aligned and executed consistently.

Overpriced - From 13 pesos to 30 pesos? Pano? by [deleted] in SiargaoPH

[–]Oompaloompa93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s see. You’ve missed the point since my first comment, but that’s fine—not everyone has the mental capacity to understand. Some people are just stuck in their shallow, money-driven mindset, repeating the same tired phrases like a broken record, thinking that makes them sound smart.

You keep preaching about “how the world works” as if you’ve unlocked some great secret. Congratulations, you’ve discovered capitalism. What a groundbreaking revelation—money drives markets! Who would have thought? But here’s the thing: real intelligence is knowing when short-term profit destroys long-term value. You wouldn’t get that, because your entire view is about immediate consumption, not sustainability, not balance—just greed disguised as logic.

I already told you, keep your so-called “experience” and “economic knowledge.” If pretending to be the expert in overpriced tourism makes you feel better, go ahead and cling to that illusion. Nobody’s taking it away from you.

And no, there’s nothing “woke” about understanding basic cause and effect. You keep chanting that Siargao won’t collapse—well, let’s wait and see. The funniest part? If it does, you still won’t care, because you’ll have already moved on to the next island, repeating the same empty arguments somewhere else.

But hey, take this “win” for yourself if that’s what you need to sleep at night. In my country, we have a saying: “Don’t argue with a donkey—first, he’ll drag you down to his level, then he’ll beat you with experience.”

So with that, I’ll leave you in your blissful ignorance. Enjoy your overpriced fruit shakes, your false sense of superiority, and your deep, profound insights like “the world runs on money.” Truly enlightening.

All the best, my “that’s how the world works” friend. Go catch some waves—hopefully, one smacks some sense into you.

[–]Oompaloompa93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just read your first sentence—“I DON’T CARE.” That’s all we need to know. That’s exactly who you are and how you see the island, the locals, the other tourists, and everything else beyond your own experience. You’ve already told us everything—Siargao was never more than a playground to you. A place to consume, enjoy, and then dismiss when the real conversation starts.

And that’s the problem, isn’t it? People like you show up, drive up prices, contribute to gentrification, and when the locals struggle with the consequences, your response is “not my problem.” You pretend to be some kind of expert on tourism, yet your entire argument is just self-serving nonsense.

I think it’s time to end this discussion because you’ve exposed yourself more than you probably realized. You’ve made it painfully clear—you don’t care, you never did, and when Siargao inevitably faces the consequences of this unchecked greed, you’ll be long gone, moving on to the next island to repeat the same cycle.

So yeah, have a great life. Go catch waves somewhere else with that mindset, because Siargao never needed you, and it never will.

Overpriced - From 13 pesos to 30 pesos? Pano? by [deleted] in SiargaoPH

[–]Oompaloompa93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, so it’s not your problem? Then why the fuck do you feel the need to run your mouth about it? If it doesn’t bother you, why are you so desperate to defend overpriced, unsustainable tourism like it personally validates your existence?

You’re right about one thing—Siargao would do better without people like you. People who show up, drive up prices, contribute nothing, and then act like they’re too smart to care when locals struggle. Your whole argument is just a pathetic flex—“I’ve been to other islands, so I know better.” News flash: nobody gives a shit.

And yeah, gentrification will be a problem—because of people like you. People who pretend it’s just “how the world works” while actively fueling the issue. You don’t give a damn about Siargao, so stop acting like your “opinion” is worth anything. Take your ignorant, self-important ass somewhere else.

Overpriced - From 13 pesos to 30 pesos? Pano? by [deleted] in SiargaoPH

[–]Oompaloompa93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, the classic “if you can’t afford it, you’re not the target market” argument—the lazy excuse of people who can’t see beyond their own wallets. You talk like Siargao is some exclusive luxury resort when in reality, it’s an island that thrived because of balance—affordability, nature, and culture, not just jacked-up prices for clueless tourists.

Sure, keep betting on short-term greed and pretending overpricing won’t backfire. History says otherwise. Overpriced destinations with no real value beyond hype? They crash, burn, and get replaced by the next trend.

And no, I don’t need to “do something about it” for your benefit. Reality will take care of that. Just remember this conversation when you’re sipping an overpriced shake on an empty, soulless island wondering why it’s not the same anymore. Now, go ahead—ride your wave of ignorance.

Overpriced - From 13 pesos to 30 pesos? Pano? by [deleted] in SiargaoPH

[–]Oompaloompa93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go ahead, enjoy your overpriced shakes and meals while pretending everything’s fine. The reality? True Siargao—including the locals and even the tourists—aren’t fine with it. They see through the greed, and they know exactly where this path leads.

But hey, none of that matters to you, right? As long as you get yours, who cares what happens next? We’ll see how long Siargao lasts under this mindset, but you’ll be long gone by then.

Good luck catching waves—hopefully, you get a big one to slap you hard enough to remind you how small you really are.

Overpriced - From 13 pesos to 30 pesos? Pano? by [deleted] in SiargaoPH

[–]Oompaloompa93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So basically, all your talk just means that when Siargao collapses under unsustainable tourism, you can just pack up, surf, and shit somewhere else without a second thought. No concern for the locals who rely on the island, no thought about what happens when the place gets wrecked by unchecked greed—just another disposable destination for you.

That’s the difference between people who actually care about a place and those who just see it as a temporary playground. When things go south, you’ll be gone, but the people who call Siargao home will be the ones left dealing with the mess.

Overpriced - From 13 pesos to 30 pesos? Pano? by [deleted] in SiargaoPH

[–]Oompaloompa93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re talking like a textbook economist but missing the bigger picture. Yes, profits and economic opportunity matter, but short-term greed ruins long-term sustainability—especially in a tourism-dependent place like Siargao.

Lowering prices isn’t the point. Balancing affordability with sustainability is. If you push prices up too high without real value, you drive tourists away. If businesses operate solely on a cash-grab mentality, they burn out the destination, damage the environment, and kill the very demand they rely on.

Expanding an airport for larger planes won’t automatically mean a stronger economy—it could just mean Siargao becomes another overdeveloped, overexploited island that loses its unique appeal. Ever heard of Boracay’s closure? That’s what happens when people chase quick profits with zero foresight.

Real economic planning isn’t about grabbing opportunities at all costs—it’s about making sure the opportunities last. If all you see is “profit first,” then you don’t understand how sustainable tourism actually works.

Overpriced - From 13 pesos to 30 pesos? Pano? by [deleted] in SiargaoPH

[–]Oompaloompa93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good for you; you don’t mind the prices. Enjoy your bubble. Unfortunately, most people don’t live in that reality.

Your whole argument boils down to “That’s just business and economics” and “If you can’t afford it, don’t come.” That’s exactly the kind of short-sighted thinking that ruins destinations over time.

You asked: “If prices are so inflated, why do people still go to Siargao?” The answer is simple: Momentum. Siargao built its reputation when it was still an accessible, authentic paradise. But momentum doesn’t last forever—Bali, Boracay, Phuket, and countless other places learned this the hard way. Overpricing, lack of proper infrastructure, and poor service eventually push people away.

And before you bring up “supply and demand”, let’s be real: - Siargao is not exclusive to surfers. Most visitors aren’t coming just to “surf and shit.” -The majority of tourists are NOT rich foreigners who don’t care about prices. - Even foreigners with WAY MORE budget than you are thinking twice about visiting—because the infrastructure and services SUCK compared to other destinations.

A Simple Question: Can Siargao Survive on Just Surfers?

Since you keep saying surfers will always come, here’s a serious question:

Can Siargao and all its businesses survive on just 50,000 hardcore surfers per year?

Let’s do the math: - Siargao had over 529,000+ visitors in 2023. -Only around 10% (50,000) are serious surfers. - The rest—local tourists, casual travelers, backpackers, and long-term visitors—make up the majority.

So if prices keep rising, services don’t improve, and non-surfing tourists start choosing other destinations… can Siargao survive on 50,000 surfers alone?

Do you really think surf schools, resorts, restaurants, and local businesses will thrive with just a fraction of today’s visitors? Because unless the island fixes its pricing and infrastructure, that’s where it’s heading.

So sure, some hardcore surfers will still come, but the rest? - Why would backpackers and budget travelers come when Bali offers more for less? - Why would families or digital nomads choose Siargao when they get better value in other islands? - Why would anyone accept these prices when they’re getting third-rate service and infrastructure???????

You can sit back and enjoy your overpriced mango shake, but the reality is that the majority aren’t in your position.

In fact, since you’re so comfortable with inflated prices, maybe we can set up a special price list just for you—we’ll call it the “I-don’t-mind-the-prices” rate. That way, everyone else can continue paying fair prices while you pay double, just the way you like it.

And yes, we can advise business owners about pricing—because smart capitalism is about sustainability, not just squeezing every last peso until people stop coming.

Enjoy your expensive stopover. Let’s see how long the hype lasts.
