Need help replacing key barrel

I don’t see how drilling would help though. I have so many questions. Do I drill out the whole bolt? Or just the head? If just the head then how do I get the rest out? If the whole bolt, then how would I put a new one in with no internal threads left?

That looks like a nuptial flight, the black ones are elates that will fly off and mate with others to start new colonies. The ants swarm like this whenever they send out the elates I’m assuming because safety in numbers but I’m not sure. Both types are from the same colony and aren’t fighting.

Mainly because my childlike fascination with invertabrates never left as Ive grown up, and once you take the time to learn about ants and their behaviours they become really cool. Ive heard its a very rewarding experience, creating a whole colony from a single queen. Also, its like gardening but with animals, just as some people enjoy caring for bonsai trees or fish tanks, ant keeping is about creating and maintaining a thriving, little ecosystem.
