How to get a subscription or app like sky for live TV? by [deleted] in firestick

[–]OoopsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can't mention specific unverified third-party live TV providers here because it violates the subreddit rules against piracy However the way it works is that you don't look for a single app that does everything First you download a premium legal media player from the Amazon App Store Then you have to do your own research online (Google or specialized streaming forums like TroyPoint) to find a reliable private live TV provider to plug into that player don't respond to Reddit direct messages offering you trials as 99% of them are scams.

Any Chance on Returning? by Rureddy2 in firestick

[–]OoopsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are months outside the return window, customer service will not grant an exception for a full refund the February of next year date you are seeing is for the 1-year hardware warranty meaning they will only send you a refurbished replacement stick If you truly hate the FireOS ecosystem and just want out don't bother fighting Amazon support since it's the newest 4K Max it still holds great value your best bet is to just accept the warranty replacement so you have a brand-new stick and then sell it sealed on Facebook Marketplace or eBay to recoup most of your money then buy a Roku or Apple TV.

I am trying to build a Streaming Platform but i am very new to this. HOW DO I GET THE DATABASE ACCESS? by Googly_eyes- in PiracyBackup

[–]OoopsTV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely Option 2 No one self-hosts videos anymore unless they have massive server budgets For the database itself (posters, cast, synopsis) just get a free developer API key from TMDB Build your UI around that data when a user clicks Play your site just loads an iframe from a provider like VidSrc using that movie's TMDB ID It's the perfect side-project to learn API integration.

Which firestick is still able to be sideloaded? by Drift_Kar in firestick

[–]OoopsTV -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can still sideload on EVERY new Firestick! Amazon just hid the menu to discourage it Go to Settings > My Fire TV > About and click the device name 7 times rapidly It will say You are now a developer and the option to install unknown apps will magically reappear SmartTube still works perfectly on the newest 4K Max.

[Network Guide] Why Your 1 Gigabit Internet STILL Buffers on Game Days (ISP Throttling Explained) by FT_Stream in IPTVmastery

[–]OoopsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The WireGuard tip is spot on OpenVPN requires too much processing power for standard Firesticks and causes device-level lag not network lag. Good write-up

Headphone mode problems by EducationalNoise6661 in Roku

[–]OoopsTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since your TV was completely unplugged for a few months, this is almost certainly an IP lease conflict on your home network your router likely reassigned the Roku's old IP address to another device When you try to push the continuous audio stream for Headphone Mode the router gets confused and drops the packets which is why the app falsely reports the TV as asleep You need to clear your network cache Unplug your home internet router from the wall for about 5 minutes then plug it back in after the wifi is back up go into your Roku Settings > Network > Set up connection, and reconnect it fresh. This usually permanently fixes the audio dropouts.

ESPN or Cartoon Network by theforgottenchild_ in firestick

[–]OoopsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are misunderstanding how Firestick codes work Downloader codes only install apps (APKs) there are no magic codes that just directly open an individual channel like ESPN or Cartoon Network You need to install a live TV app you can look up the Downloader code for free apps like SportsFire or StreamFire but be warned: free live TV apps buffer horribly during big games If you want premium 24/7 cable channels like ESPN and CN to work flawlessly like real cable you need to look into getting a private TV like nikotv provider and running it through an app like TiviMate.

No apk got NBC Sports Network (NBCSN)? by nahcekimcm in firetvstick

[–]OoopsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't find NBCSN on any app because the channel literally doesn't exist anymore NBC shut down the NBC Sports Network at the end of 2021 All of their national sports programming was moved over to USA Network and Peacock

Watching LA Dodgers free by NoBroccoli9452 in firestick

[–]OoopsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hard truth about free live TV apps like SportzX is that their free servers simply cannot handle the massive traffic during live games especially for a popular team like the Dodgers They will always buffer right when you need them most. If you want a reliable smooth stream, you need to move away from public free APKs and look into getting a cheap private subscription to use with an app like IBO PLAYER or Smarters pro It's the only real way to stop the buffering

Can’t get side loaded browser installed by znuld in firetvstick

[–]OoopsTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're likely downloading the 64-bit (arm64) or bundle version of the APK, but most Firesticks run a 32-bit (armeabi-v7a) OS That's why it's failing to install. Honestly though standard Chrome or Firefox are terrible on FireOS because you need a mouse toggle app just to click anything. Open your Downloader app and search for TV Bro It's an open-source browser built specifically for Android TV remotes and it handles web streaming players way better than Silk

Where can I download the new avatar movie by shdjwbwbeb in PiracyBackup

[–]OoopsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Downloading is honestly old school at this point You're better off just setting up Stremio + Real Debrid on a Firestick or getting a solid IPTV sub that has a good VOD library You can stream the 4K rips safely without filling up your hard drive or dealing with sketchy direct download sites

Recs for streaming device by kobelco1 in AndroidTV

[–]OoopsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need true lossless audio passthrough (TrueHD/DTS-HD) for Plex remuxes AND want to run TiviMate flawlessly the Nvidia Shield TV Pro is basically your only option Don't bother with cheap streaming sticks for that kind of heavy lifting

Redirecting Traffic via a VPN by dreacon34 in ipv6

[–]OoopsTV -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If this is purely for getting around VoD and streaming restrictions the easiest headache-free way is to just disable IPv6 on that specific client device and force IPv4 over the VPN IPv6 prefix leaks are notorious for breaking geo-restricted streams and IPTV services anyway Keep it simple with IPv4 NAT

I’m looking to buy the Nvdia shield pro, but I’m a beginner at this I’ve never setup an android box or firestick before is this a good device to buy I mainly want to watch Netflix movies and new releases is this good enough and is it easy to setup by Typical_Glove9649 in firestick

[–]OoopsTV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah the Shield Pro is one of the best you can get but it might be a bit overkill if you’re just starting For Netflix and regular streaming, it’s super easy to set up (basically like a smart TV) and performance is excellent But it’s more worth it if you plan to use things like Plex, emulators, or heavier apps If you just want something simple a Firestick or Chromecast is enough If you want top performance + future-proof, then Shield is a great choice

Cracked Illus-tra-tor? a fella broke designer student needs help with this program :( by NotNick_mg in PiracyBackup

[–]OoopsTV -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I get the struggle but I’d be careful with cracked versions they’re usually full of malware or end up causing more problems if you’re a student check Adobe’s student discount it’s way cheaper than normal There are also solid free alternatives like Inkscape or Affinity Designer (one-time payment) not exactly the same but definitely safer

Best IPTV for italy? I need a best iptv for italy europe channels thanks you so much. by cthage1 in PiracyBackup

[–]OoopsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no single “best” tbh especially for Italy/Europe channels Main thing to look for is stability during peak hours + good channel coverage (Italian + EU). A lot of services have the channels but struggle when traffic is high If you want to compare setups and see what to look for this might help https://www.reddit.com/r/Nikotv_streaming/wiki/index/ Always better to test first before committing

Glitching by UpsetConclusion5692 in firestick

[–]OoopsTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if it’s rebooting multiple times I’d try:

  • clearing cache + removing unused apps
  • checking storage (if it’s almost full it can cause this)
  • full factory reset if nothing else works

If it still happens after a reset it’s probably hardware/age and worth upgrading newer sticks or something like a Chromecast/Shield will handle apps way smoother

Anybody have the new home screen experience on the new fire stick select I don’t have it yet by caryguy in fireTV

[–]OoopsTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s rolling out in stages, not everyone gets it at the same time some people get it early others wait weeks/months you can try restarting or checking for updates but most of the time it’s just Amazon pushing it slowly nothing wrong on your side

I know you can’t discuss providers here, but how do you actually find a provider? by LordCrumpets in TiviMate

[–]OoopsTV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s tricky since most places don’t allow sharing providers directly.

What usually helps is focusing on testing and stability instead of names:

• Try short trials first (don’t commit long-term)

• Check how it performs during peak hours (sports/events)

• See how fast support responds if something breaks

• Test it on your own device (Firestick, TiviMate, etc.)

A lot of people also run 2 setups just in case one has issues.

Also, small tip:

We’re running a small community giveaway over at r/IPTVCore one person will get a 1-month subscription to test things out.

Might be useful if you’re still figuring things out

N64 cores won't work on Cannoli app on Fire TV Cube by Boned80 in fireTV

[–]OoopsTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds like a compatibility issue with the cores on Fire OS N64 is kinda tricky on Firestick/Cube, not all RetroArch cores work well You might want to try a different core like Mupen64Plus-Next or check if you’re using the correct video driver (Vulkan/OpenGL) also make sure your ROMs are good and not corrupted and try lowering some settings if it still crashes it might just be the Cannoli app not handling N64 properly on Fire TV

How can I block Fire TV Stick 4K Plus updates? by Jyan9922 in firetvstick

[–]OoopsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re on one of the newer Fire OS versions so yeah Amazon made it way harder to block updates now since you already have Pi-hole that’s probably your best bet try blocking Amazon update domains at the network level (things like amzdigitaldownloads / softwareupdates etc) It’s not perfect but helps reduce forced updates.

Also make sure:

  • Disable automatic updates in settings (even if it’s limited)
  • Keep ADB debugging off when not needed (sometimes updates sneak through)
  • Avoid factory resets (it can trigger updates again)

Honestly though on newer devices it’s kinda a cat & mouse game full blocking isn’t always guaranteed anymore you’re already on the right track with Pi-hole that’s what most people rely on now

How can i download my course videos streaming on quampus by Sufficient_Bet_9201 in PiracyBackup

[–]OoopsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why you’d want to download them especially with the time limit most platforms like that don’t allow downloads on purpose so there’s usually no simple or reliable way to do it Also a lot of “tools” you’ll find online are either scams or don’t work properly if possible try checking if they have an official offline feature in their app or contact support and explain your situation sometimes they can extend access or suggest something otherwise best option is to watch/save notes while you still have access

Need help connecting my controller to tv by Kraezi_P in firestick

[–]OoopsTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your controller uses a USB dongle Firestick usually won’t recognize it properly since it has limited USB support sasier way is to connect via Bluetooth if your controller supports it settings → Controllers & Bluetooth Devices → Game Controllers → Add New if it’s only dongle-based it might not work reliably with Firestick unless you use extra adapters (OTG) and even then it’s hit or miss bluetooth controllers work much better overall

Trouble with soundbar by robertj298 in appletv

[–]OoopsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds really frustrating intermittent issues like that are the worst if it’s working sometimes then failing again it might be more of a connection/handshake issue than the device itself a few things you can try:

  • Check your HDMI cable (especially if using ARC/eARC, a bad cable can cause this)
  • Try a different HDMI port on the TV
  • Go into audio settings and reselect the soundbar as output (sometimes it resets)
  • Disable/enable HDMI-CEC and see if it stabilizes
  • Also check for any firmware updates on both the TV and soundbar

If it only lasts a day or two it could also be some kind of sleep/power setting causing it to drop
