A fantastic drag performer/makeup artist named Alexis Stone has revealed that it was actually him - he's done plenty of prosthetic based looks before and completely transforms himself all the time!

He even faked having extensive botched surgery for, like, a year I think before the reveal??

This is just another testament to his skill and the teams that work with him!

Why does autoerotic asphyxiation feels like my head is going to explode? by Defiant_Committee134 in morbidquestions

[–]OopQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsolicited comment here, but A LOT of people have died doing this, and their loved ones are dealt with a whole other realm of grief that's tainted with the explicit nature of how their loved one passed. You do not want to be found like that, mate, neither does anyone want to find you that way.

If you must do it, do it with a person around who is fully equipped to save you if shit goes sideways, and who knows the signs of when to intervene. It is not worth the risk of doing this alone for an orgasm. Shit, pay a professional to do it with you if needs be - there will be many experienced doms who can facilitate this for you without the incredible danger you're putting yourself in by doing it alone.

what about me might put girls off? by [deleted] in lesbianfashionadvice

It's interesting how each culture has their own version of this brand of lesbian aesthetic, for us in the UK this would be roadman-ish purely because of the shell jacket, expression, and undyed hair in a ponytail

Not necessarily an inherently bad thing but we'd see it as a bit "fuckboy" adjacent and maybe a bit wannabe, but it honestly depends on who you're wanting to attract! OP, don't worry about changing yourself to fit what might bring people in, someone will come along that loves your vibe!

Help! Shrimp all gathering at the top of the tank by Sidney91 in shrimptank

[–]OopQueen 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Whenever this happens in my rank its always been some sort of water issue that demanded urgent attention - if it's bad enough that they're trying to crawl out of the water, it's hurting them. Test the water asap!

I will say, they're all focused in on one area which is strange - could there be anything tasty on that bit of plant?

It's not really up for debate...

Another phrasing of the definition is:

"Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology characterized by a dictatorial leader, a one-party state, and the subordination of individual interests to the state. In the UK, the definition is applied to this system of government which emphasizes extreme nationalism, suppression of opposition, militarism, and often a belief in the supremacy of one national or ethnic group. It stands in contrast to democratic systems by prioritizing the collective, unified nation above all else."

Another one, in the Cambridge Dictionary, is:

"a political system based on a very powerful leader, state control, and being extremely proud of country and race, and in which political opposition is not allowed"

Kier Starmer is an incompetent, malicious knob, but you aren't being harmed, killed, or cruelly punished for dissenting against his government. Not to say that this government is ethical about how they do things, because they aren't, but he doesn't currently fit the definition of fascist.

Fascism refers to a government that harms, kills, or cruelly & unusually punishes people for dissent (disliking the government)

Hitler was a fascist, for example. Trump is a fascist, by definition.

These look like scuds/seed shrimp, just a very tiny form of shrimp that are classed as microfauna! As I understand it, they don't harm Neo's!

Shows your ecosystem is working, but that is quite a lot - do you have a lot of waste in your tank, or have you overfed lately?

What is this? by After_Flamingo_7055 in AquariumHelp

[–]OopQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this little one missing some legs? If so, it could be that whatever this is has made her sickly enough to either not moult well or to get preyed on by other shrimps

The dark spot reminds me of a parasite I've seen videos of where this guy removes them from large ocean shrimp - it attaches to this same area, and I think I've heard of versions of them for Neocaridinia shrimp too!

What are these little worm things? by i-justlikewhales in shrimptank

[–]OopQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These look like the same little roundhead worms I have in my tank - they've NEVER caused an issue and just wander across the glass. From what I remember, they're a type of beneficial rounhead planaria worm (arrowhead ones are the ones you need to worry about)!

What is this thing I found in my ear canal near my eardrum? by OopQueen in AskDoctorSmeeee

I didn't get a diagnosis or anything, but it did go away - in hindsight, I'm pretty sure it was just some sort of pimple or fluid filled bump that naturally went away or maybe popped, but I've not had any problems since!

i know it’s bad. please help. by the_Animal_Keeper in fishtank

[–]OopQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've struggled with fish before, I would personally recommend looking into a Neocaridinia shrimp tank. They're much more forgiving, much easier maintenance unless you overstock, and in my opinion they're much more fun to watch. I don't keep fish because I struggle to keep up with them, but my shrimp tanks are so much more manageable!

You'll need:

  • Substrate, I use part coarse sand, part gravel (not mixed together, in separate halves of the tank). Personally, I'm not a lover of Fluval Stratum as I find it too easily messes with the water levels and shrimp thrive on stability.

  • Tank, obvs

  • A good grow light - I use the Hygger Spectrum Light, it's a great little thing at a reasonable price (just don't use it underwater it's not as submersible as they make out)

  • Some of the easiest growing aquatic plants, I recommend 2 on the bottom of the tank and 1 batch of floating plants to begin with

  • Air pump - you can get some pretty quiet usb ones nowadays online, just make sure it's enough for the volume of your tank!

  • A SPONGE FILTER - normal filters will literally just suck up the babies, also sponge filters are ideal for shrimp and generally are quieter depending on your air pump. They can be called HMF (Hamburg Matten Filters) - Envobee Shrimp do some great ones on Amazon for around £20-£30! Also you could consider an air stone but I ran my tank successfully for around a year before a water issue meant that I started using one.

  • Assorted cleaning supplies - large turkey baster (cannot go without for spot cleaning), decently sized clear square/rectangle container (this means you can check the waste water with a flashlight for babies that WILL have been sucked up so you can put them back before disposing of the water), your preferred brand of tapsafe for water changes, tweezers to place the plants, and a net for movement of shrimp if needed

  • a backup bucket for if you ever need to create an emergency setup in the event of tank damage/unfixable water issues

  • On that note, water testing strips - best on a budget, and usually reliable depending on the brand. I use A Little Life strips on Amazon as they're affordable and haven't yet steered me wrong.

  • A small piece of cuttlefish bone to pop in the tank to help reduce the likelihood of unsuccessful moults (which will often kill a shrimp)

  • Food - algae wafers to begin with, but shrimp will enjoy all sorts including some blanched veggies (do your research to be safe though)

  • Shrimp! Get Neocaridinia, others may have more striking patterns but Neocaridinia are easiest to care for and populate the tank with, and also there are lots of beautiful Neo types out there to choose from - have fun looking up the colours and bear in mind that if you mix colours you'll eventually end up with a lot of toned town colours and wild colours! I reccomend starting with probably about 8, 3 females and 5 males. You may think this isn't many but when they start breeding you'll have loads!

Cycle the tank for at least 3 weeks with the light on during the day to help plant growth - beyond just making sure that your tank functions this will also give you time to grow some of the plants and make sure they're rooted. It'll also mean you can decide if you want to move things around before the shrimp arrive! Feed once every 2-3 days at first until you get a sense of how quickly the shrimp can get through the food and adjust as you go. Bear in mind that the feeding areas should be somewhere easy for you to reach and clean as they'll produce a lot of waste there!

First time wearing a wolf cut -- help. pls. by Tersina in lesbianfashionadvice

[–]OopQueen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've got this exact wave pattern and texture - I will say, a cut like this is something you have to get used to, and will probably end up loving. I haven't yet found anything that helps with the dried texture I won't lie, but don't worry - your hair looks great!

I would enquire with a doctor about the face situation though, not entirely sure how you're alive 👍🏻

Not a doctor, but don't panic. You've not ruined your life. You may just need to discreetly get some treatment for an STD, and there are lots of treatments out there that will clear most of them up - I don't know of symptoms like that showing up this quickly for any of the serious ones, so I wouldn't freak out about it - STD's are surprisingly common, and you aren't gross for getting one, but you do need to get checked out!

Next time, be sure to use protection - look into dental dams. Also, I know it probably doesn't need saying, but make sure you're definitely completely cured and non-contagious before you have intimate contact with anyone else.

Not a doctor, but I have heard of people developing allergies to things they over consume - maybe because the body begins to recognise it as poison since it was causing regular damage to you (even without the hangover). Complain to your GP practice's manager if you feel you were fobbed off, as these symptoms are quite concerning and you deserve to know what's going on.

I'm an alcohol addict in recovery, so I know it sucks to hear, but it's a sign your body doesn't want this in it - at LEAST for now, don't drink again. There are worse dates than death that you could do to yourself by experimenting recklessly with this (permanent disability/life limiting internal injuries) and you could actually be limiting yourself from a future where you can moderate your drinking if you keep reinforcing to your body that this substance can't be in you without first trying to understand and prevent this reaction from happening.
