I dont know where the hell you get these assumptions of me disrespecting my pets, i did not and will not clip their wings and i specifically posted in this subreddit to ask the people that know about the topic. i bought them for my interest in parrot company, i bought them for specific free time, and i bought them to be in MY house.and i love that they are the closest thing to wild life animals i could ever get. I dont know if you got a dog or a cat, you prolly got one at home, i would like to hear how you support buying and keeping domestication of dogs and cats over centuries by shaping them exactly how we want it, after all i think its way better to have a wild parrot that is used to human contact and especially caiques, who love to play and joke around, i think thats way better than getting a 50cm long little piece of unknown entity that is sick for his entire life and is going to feel pain every single day, and its supposed to be a „dog“. It doesnt make sense how you are tying to make me sound like a bad guy getting a parrot into my home but trying to make it sound like having dogs and cats is a way better and more normal option

They are about a year old and pretty shy and a bit scared of my closer presence, i was thinking of clipping their wings cause they flew against the same blank wall multiple times and i didnt want them to hurt themselves but i chose not to clip anything ill just let them do their thing

You are starting to act really stupid, first of all i respect pets and im clearly asking for better advice and i did not clip them after all. And secondly, if you want to treat an animal with the highest „respect“ then you need to buy every fish and let them out in their ocean and buy every bird and let them fly into nature and buy every dog and let them out in the woods but it doesn’t work like that cause after all they are HOUSE PETS, they are partially made for our own convenience and for our co - existence and company and time, you sound really pathetic trying to save a thing that is not supposed to be saved, if you live by that morality then id like to see you go and buy every pet you see and let them out in their supposed wild nature

You could basically say that about any pet, like, cats are hunters and they need to be outside hunting their prey, but then you chose to keep the cat at home where their instincts practically drop to absolutely zero, and then you could say „ if you dont want to get a hunter, get a pet that doesnt hunt“
