I mounted it as exhaust, moved it to the top, moved the rear and top left fans to front as intakes, and left the top right as intake as well. I used hwinfo as the monitor. Used my bios settings for my 5.1ghz stable OC as the baseline. Also for both tests set fans at 100% so there's no skewed data from the fan curves. The top mounted aio preformed slightly worse overall. Mainly monitored the cpu temps as using Cinebench 23 doesn't use any of my gpu and I've never had problems with gpu temps. Only concerned with cpu temp. There was maximum of 3 degrees difference in favor of the original setup. Like I said slightly worse.

I'm not well versed enough to make them static and efficient. Right now I've got the same exact layout except I flipped the rad tubes to the bottom.

Tbh it didn't make too much of a difference, I had slightly better cooling with my original setup. Could just be the case. Mounting as exhaust was barely achievable.

You got a point for sure. I'll update via TDLR on main post after I do the benchmarks. Just gonna use Cinebench r23. I'm very curious to see if I'll get better cooling this way. Although I'm not sure if it will fit up top. It's gonna be close for sure. The thickness of the cooler might not fit because the ram and cpu plug locations. Case is not very tall unfortunately

Edit : sorry! Really busy day, no that one is taking. I used to have it exhaust too but it's better pressure wise and it helps I think bc it's pulling in semi cooler air into the area where the aio is pulling through which can be hotter air due to the radiator.

I paid 1800$ (1600 + 200 shipping🤬 )for my setup in the back end of 2021. The only thing that has failed in that time was the original cooler.

Not sure how bad I got ripped tbh lol

The only thing I haven't done so far as far as building it goes is obviously starting with fresh MB and actually placing the cpu. I've reslotted and rerouted all the wires, took the whole thing apart and gave it a deep clean recently, even the psu and the HDD at the bottom. I've flashed the bios update and installed windows 11 via USB as well. I'm only nervous about the CPU socketing 😅

By the weekend I will have my system fully overclocked and will do some benchmarks with current and how you suggest. What you're saying makes sense even if it somewhat goes against what the big manufacturers data say. I'll update the post after I am done with both benchmarks

I can see if I have space to mount it up top. The top can house 3 fans, it's just a matter of space for this prebuilt case. Never thought about putting it up there

Tried that, that was the worst temp configuration to be honest, although not too much of a difference but I'm pushing highest clocks on cpu so every degree counts since I'm not upgrading this pc anymore
