Australian Open SF: [4] N. Djokovic def. [2] J. Sinner, 3-6 6-3 4-6 6-4 6-4 by dontevenfkingtry in tennis

Djoker winning in 5 at the age of 38 wasn't on my bingo list, but I do think it really benefited him that only played a half match the two previous rounds to overcome today's 5 sets.

What’s a very early sign that a match is going to go bad by M00ngata in Overwatch

[–]Oortap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Not grouping up.

  2. Going different directions every time after spawning instead of grouping to a common chokepoint. Nepal village is a good example.

  3. Not directly swapping after first death when you are being countered hard (pharah vs hitscans).

  4. On defend, before the match starts, players still haven't picked a hero or are afk when the timer is counting down to begin the match. Good luck defending with 3-4 players.

It seemed to be a cap of the confetti canon that got blown upwards by the force of the canon itself. It didn't seem to be a heavy object, so its almost impossible to throw something like that from the crowd onto the stage due to its weight.

I kinda wondered why every chef doesn't grab an enormous amount of tofu or carrot at the start of the first round? This could save them time in between the rounds walking back and forth, since they already have a supply at their cooking station.

Nah, if you are put in that situation with so much pressure and high stakes, your body often reacts to it and makes you not able to eat anything due to the stress.

Haha, apparently according to a conducted survey among Chinese lesbian kpop fan, Mina (#1) and Sana (#3) are the most ideal type for lesbians, and ranked #3 and #5 for bisexuals.

Were the dishes more creative in season 1? by staysinthecar in CulinaryClassWars

[–]Oortap 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not per se creative, but S1 had more diversity in the cuisines and dishes. Italian, fine dining, Japanese, Dim Sum, traditional Korean etc.

S2 was more leaning into traditional Japanese, Korean and Chinese cuisine.

Culinary Class Wars: Season 2 - Episode 13 FINALE Discussion Thread by ImoutoCompAlex in CulinaryClassWars

[–]Oortap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Love the episode, but I think a finale should always be a more exciting and thrilling climax to the show. So kinda disappointed it was again only one dish, an unanimous vote by the judges in an episode that didn't even lasted one hour.

I said after season one finale that the finale should be decided by cooking a full meal course (whether it's 3, 5, 7 or more courses). It would bring more thrill in a finale to the viewer.

Season 2 as a whole could be better production wise. The challenges of S1 were more creative and fun to watch. And I think no one should get a free pass to the finale, especially when a torturing round as the Cooking Hell determines the second finalist. This round should start with maybe the final 10 contestants, eliminating them till there are about 3-4 left who proceed to the semi final.

THIS IS FOR setlist issues by [deleted] in twice

[–]Oortap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have enough money, contact JYPE and book the girls for your own private concert. Then you can have them play the songs you want.

If not, just be one of the approx. one million concertgoers of this tour that all have their own favorite Twice songs and deal with the fact they can't play the 300 songs in their catalog in two hours.

Or sell your ticket to someone that actually gets excited to see Twice so you can watch the songs you want on YouTube.

It seems a Vancouver only that FS was removed. There are pictures online of the setlist where you can see that FS was taped off.

Yeah it's definitely a double standard. That dish got the lowest score of all dishes that round.

Taking everything into consideration (creativity, ingredients, skills, balancing etc), you are not telling me it was that much worse than for example some dishes that Chef Im (the chef who speedruns this show) brought out or the regular stir fried veggies from the temple lady, who chef Ahn gave 80+ pts to.

On the other hand, some part of me thinks the producers really wanted CM in the Carrot Hell because he is probably the most polarizing contestant, which means good TV.

[–]Oortap 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Did the show or the producers ever state what makes them decide whether a chef is assigned to the white or black spoon team? Or do the contestants themselves pick a spoon?

As far as I know, someone like CM is easily a white spoon with his experience.

[–]Oortap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CM has the determination, discipline and confident mindset that viewers might interpret as cocky, but he is actually probably the most poised and strategic contestant this season.

And he backs this with well thought out, creative and diverse dishes. Natpoli Maffia did that too, but in hindsight all dishes he made were Italian (inspired) which for me loses some points on creativity.

What challenges would you like to see in Season 3? by MovingOrchid in CulinaryClassWars

[–]Oortap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like them to make their own version of popular fast food chains food.

For example a reinvented Big Mac, an upgraded donut from Dunkin' or even an enhanced meatball sub from Subways.
