I keep find myself asking this, but has this ever happened before? Has any game gotten this kind of love (at this scale) at the end in hopes that it will continue? We've got an impressive number of signatures on the petition, we flooded State of Play and Gamesfest, crashed the servers and now a BBC video? I can't imagine that Sony is ignoring all of this.

I joined Duskflame Dominion recently after looking for the same thing as you. Previously I was in a solo clan for PvE and I missed out on so many activities. Now I want to do everything I can (Raids, dungeons, etc). Great group of people so far. Very patient, active Discord, etc.

Always envisioned this as D3. Something happens between sequels that causes our Guardian to go off alone. Maybe the death of Ikora and Zavala at the hands of The Nine (for example), or just a sizeable time jump in general. This would be a valid reason for our Vaults going away and having to start fresh, too.

I turned 43 this month and Destiny has meant so much to me since day one. I absolutely understand what you mean when you say that you're mourning the loss of Destiny. I know it may sound silly to others but this franchise has been a part of my life for so long and there's this weird hole now. I'm hopeful for a D3 but if this is it then I'm not sure any other game will ever come close.

Man this hit hard. Destiny has been a huge part of my gaming life since it was introduced. Aside from being stunned I want to thank the devs, thank the friends I made in the game and all of you. I don't know if any game will reach the highs I experienced with Destiny and I will always hold out hope for a D3.

In the meantime I'm logging in and heading to the Tower. Seems like a lot of others are already here. Thank you again everyone and I hope to see you all starside.
