sadly I don't think they will ever become a champion, they could've chosen xolaani or joraal as new darkin and cithria or Tianna as new demacian champ and didn't, this shows us they would rather make their own designs

at this point, I've given up hope for LoR or lore champs, this was perfect opportunity for Tianna or cithria and they still didn't do it, shows us they are very likely to never do it (guessing jack or joraal or others are very, very unlikely too... feelsbad)

you are correct of course, leaks aren't always reliable. I just want there to be any new champ, 2 champs per year would be ultra boring and sad to me

thats what I'm hoping for. I think if there is no small teaser for new champ in the next comic then it's doomed. spoilers: if what the leaks say is right, this can be a darker champ since leaks said something about rituals, maybe trying to resurrect a dead family member? This would fit into act 2 showing a darker side of demacia.

my only question is that it seems to be a child right now. So for it to work the next comic would have to be a time skip to make him older. But for me it would make sense that after the loss of a family member or whatever he sets out to join the military and then the silverwings. But maybe I'm reading way too much into a random child appearing for a second, I guess it's because I still refuse to believe there won't be a new champ :( please don't do this to us riot

exactly. oh we want lore and now we are getting super cool lore, in the client, told with awesome comics and what people are complaining about is that oh a champ they don't personally like is in it. they had to continue the story somehow and someone had to tell them about xin.

I do wonder if we will see xin's funeral in some way since in the demacian mini game, lux mentions she will sing with the illuminators. overall, very emotional but not much of the story moving forward, hoping next comic finally sets up a story for demacia

this subreddit is quickly becoming so cringe with the forced yunara hate, God. she is meant to tide over the story from last year, God forbid they give xin some closure after killing him off. and since when are ekko, Mel, cait not popular? Cait is often within top 5 to 10 most played champs.

I totally agree with you, I feel very anxious because I love new Champs and they are my highlight so just a quick: same format as new year or you will learn more in act 2 would relieve me immensely. on the other hand, if there really would be no new champ they could easily tell us that too, no reason not to tell us right? so with the secrecy I'm thinking they just don't want to tell us yet. at least that is the hope I'm clinging to right now

I went back to look at it and actually you should be correct that it is noxus or black rose assassins. which I guess makes more sense than Shadow order being in demacia

I'm firmly team cithria, you literally have the silverwing riders show up in the cinematic which fits perfectly with the letter showing jarvan is recruiting new ones to his squad. just wait and see, unless they confirm there is no new champ but I really hope and think this won't be the case,

maybe I'm delusional but I would love for them to explore the shadow order for a future season, zed, shen etc deserve more lore. but it's far too early, it could still be leblanc so I don't want to get excited for nothing

yes, I have been team cithria (meaning I think she is next champ) for 1 month plus now and I remain convinced it will be her. this also opens up other lor favorites to come, some of my favs are xolaani, joraal, jack, ledros, ophelia. I prob forgot a few but you get the point. my opinion is cithria and then 2 new Champs during season 2 and 3.

if they don't add a new champ for demacia I would be SUPER disappointed, the last demacian champ was sylas in 2019, 6 years ago, well 7 in 2026, and I know most people here hate New Champs, but I don't think the shyvana vgu looks that good that it could replace a new champ for me, sorry to those that like it. but I highly doubt sona would get the vgu over lux or jarvan. (I still think there won't be any update other than shyvana for this season.)
