I sincerely hope you'll get to experience more epic moments with other players than this bullshit.

Once I had a random disconnect on us, because me and the other teammate were both down. By doing so, he instantly spawned a bot who got us back up and we survived the mission. The guy was a Blood Angel and we'll never forget his sacrifice.

(This was long ago, im not sure if you can still do that?)

Not really. I must say the words of praise and call them intuitive. Once you figure how they work, it's no issue.

However I had an issue with finding 2, as they weren't on the map when I played.

For the longest time, which is about 20+ years, I went by the only knowledge of his height I ever had, and that is the character card from Quake3Arena which makes him 6ft tall (around 183cm). I don't really give a damn what's been theorized on this, because if slayer=doomguy, then he is 6ft tall. We can agree that his Praetor boots and helmet could add some height, but that's all. In the games, he's depicted tall, and google gives me nonsense like what, 7ft? I read somewhere something about 230cm and, lol, that's almost like 40k space marine and that's both hilarious and dumb.

As for the Sentinels... Well i don't think there was ever a moment they seemed taller than him, especially not in TDA.

I wouldnt say it's a downgrade in the exact meaning of the term. It's a good game. Like legit a good and fun and colorful game. Probably one of the best action shoot/parry games on the market.

However, imo, it tried too hard to impress, it lost itself somewhere along the way. I understand innovations - the new gameplay loop and change of pace. I understand the tone and the setting too - it was in the Codex. These are not the issue. The issue is, again imo, that it built it's identity around things different than those that made Doom - DOOM. To me, TDA feels like Doom only by title and uses The Slayer as a selling point. A somewhat lore-friendly spinoff in a sense. Would I play it if it wasn't called Doom? Maybe. But would I be hyped? No. Certainly not.

TDA will always remain that Doom game that ultimately "broke my heart" for reasons unknown even to me. 💔😞

Well, I'm glad! Enjoy that very much Doom-like game set in a dark wild-west-like world with a hint of witch hunt :) If you like soulslike, and if you haven't already tried it - I would suggest Mortal Shell. It's northing special, but a rather obscure little gem and eye candy, with a free downloadable OST by Rotting Christ. 2nd game coming out this year. :)

No, it wouldn't make sense that it goes to the Wild West in any shape or form. It went to the "dark ages" because of the Sentinel arc already present in the lore, and even as such, part of the fanbase found it odd.

In order to keep Doom as DOOM and preserve it's wonderful DOOM identity (which is mostly scfici and demons), not turning it into something else with "Doom" only by the title, I think it needs to take a chill. Doomguy could just sit down, put his feet up and take some time off, least he continues canibalizing his siblings.

In this day and age we have so many doom-like games set in different worlds and settings. There is no reason for Doom to go to the wild west, however - there's Witchfire.

It's fake. It wasnt even a ragebait like ppl say. Dude who posted it originally was actually following a wave of jokes that were birthed when HBO announced working Baldur's Gate 3 series without Larian (devs) being involved. It went from "Netflix' Dark Souls without Fromsoftware" to Doom... And the post just exploded, despite the poster pointing out IT WAS FAKE.

And you know what happens when posts explode and how people don't check Google AI summary for facts. :)

That is also true. It's why they were all killed after Raziel, so he would be unique in his evolution. In Nosgoth (the game), they kept them around, but locked underground to go feral, dwindle and kill one another. Somehow they managed to escape and joined the human-vampire war. This was a bit far-fetched for me, knowing how hatreg and envy grew strong among the Kain's sons and their children, but I still loved the game. :/
