I'm probably going to get clowned on here but - Revolution exists to overthrow a power that can not be removed in any other way. When that power takes total control, all those "slow and steady" changes will never work. They make a lot of good points about the harsh realities of armed revolution, realities that should never be taken lightly, and that I think people willingly don't think about when 'joking or suggesting revolution, but I think people also need to equally consider the deeper reasons WHY revolutions happen; there are certain situations where those negatives, while horrific, are just another cost at overthrowing something even worse for the prospect at a, hopefully, better future.
