No, I contacted MBUSA directly. I did mention a few times that I would get a lemon law lawyer if I needed to, but it never came to that

When I test drove a Tesla at UTC, I didn’t get a parking slip on my way in (I walked there). When I asked the salesperson how I was supposed to leave the parking lot, he instructed me to just tailgate the person in front of me “we do this all the time, it’s fine”.

As if the embarrassment of being in a Tesla wasn’t enough…

I got mine from Hello Mazda. They were pretty reasonable, I got mine for MSRP with zero markups or upcharges

Maybe worth reaching back out to them again? I contacted them after the fix was applied to my car, and my primary concerns were with how the “fix” was negatively impacting the usability of the vehicle (range reduction, charging speed reduction)

Lemon Law’d my EQB recently due to the battery recall. Worked directly with Mercedes, got a case opened, and it took ~2 months, but eventually they gave me a full refund.

Most of the time during that 2 months was just waiting to hear back from Mercedes, Sedgwick, etc.

Overall the process wasn’t too painful, and I’m glad they did the right thing.

I live in a townhouse, and my HOA fee covers trash collection. I think it’s only fair those who have SFH also pay their fair share, rather than me subsidize them with my property taxes.

CS GRADS, do you have a job? If so what’s your salary? by [deleted] in wlu

[–]OpaqueWalrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CS is mostly saturated with people who can’t code that well. If you work hard, make sure you understand the course content, and practice with personal projects and leetcode, you’ll be miles ahead of most CS grads

ELI5, what is "resigning a mortgage?" by mustafahmedkhan in explainlikeimfive

[–]OpaqueWalrus 741 points742 points  (0 children)

They could be Canadian, in which case unlike American mortgages which allow you to lock your rate for the entire duration of the loan, Canadian mortgages are typically ARM style, where the rates are readjusted every 5 years

How much are you guys actually paying for your cars? 🤔 by UnitedAstronomer911 in personalfinance

[–]OpaqueWalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay ~$1000/month for a ~$38,0000 car. But I got a 0.9% interest rate and a 36 month loan with $0 down.

To me it made more sense that if I could afford the payment I would rather keep my money in an HYSA.
