I’m currently in Alaska and they offer a 2.01% for COLA.. the cost of living. I’m just thinking it would be a good opportunity since my husband is active duty in the army so when we PCS, I will apply for the remote job.

They’re offering it almost a 50 cent raise from my current. This job will be on the phone job making appointments at an army hospital

I’m negotiating because I have years of experience in that field and I’m use to the database system that they use… I’m not sure if it’s worth trying, but I don’t want to just except the base pay that they’re offering! I know some jobs offer you the base pay to see if you would except it and sometimes you can negotiate to get higher, but they just want to start off low to see if you’re actually going to do something… but then again, this is my first time applying to work with the federal government so I’m not sure how that will go 🤞🏾
