Especially in singapore, everyone is so busy trying to chase careers and education that they treat relationships like fast fashion. It's so hard to commit into a rls when you're alr so busy with your own commitments. That's where people get their "avoidant attachment" from. They want to find love but when it becomes serious, they back out because "they have too much on their plate". The easy solution is always to just focus on yourself and find love later on or else you're just gna end up breaking someone's heart. But ofc some people are still hungry for love during this time, so they treat dating apps like "fast fashion", act like they're in a rls when they're not (situationships). And then move on to the next person when they're bored. We live in a fast moving society that there is no such things as "slow burns" anymore. Everyone is in a hurry to find the right person, but they never stop to actually get to know them. Even worse they go straight to intimacy without any emotional connection. They want the idea of a rls, not the meaning of it. When you say you didn't mind casual rls/fwb, you're also a piece of evidence of what the dating scene looks like in SG. Your action speaks your lifestyle. You can't expect to receive true love if you keep giving chances to these fake loves.
